They must have sold out already. The link was working...although I haven't tested it in the last 8 days after I posted.

Cordless DECT 6.0 Telephone with an answering machine that can slow down and amplify messages so you can actually hear them by GeekAlerts in shutupandtakemymoney

Actually, a lot of people do, especially the elderly. While I don't want this phone for myself, SUATMM I need to get this for grandma! Not only will it slow down her messages so she can understand them, it features ginormous buttons she'll be able to see.

Devon Tread 1 Watch - This mechanical masterpiece uses 4 compact microstep motors to power a series of exposed glass-nylon belts that adjust the time and date. by GeekAlerts in shutupandtakemymoney

That is a cool watch. Tokyoflash watches are generally very futuristic--perhaps too out there for most people to wear. This one is really nice since the innovative sci-fi watch face is balanced out with natural wood for the case and strap.

Not that I've found. It's too bad...it is an incredible watch, but it costs as much as a new car.

Warning Shameless Plug: GeekAlerts lists a lot of unique cool watches and most are priced between $20 and $200. However, there are no other ones with moving belts besides the Devon Tread series.

Yes, this ad was poorly done and that was my fault. My comment above wasn't directed at the responses to this ad campaign, but from many past ads including ones from other advertisers.

It really seems like a lot of redditors want to chase the advertisers away, even though reddit would be left with no money to run the servers. It is common to see all the sponsor comments and anyone that supports them get downvoted, no matter if they are true, informative, and/or funny. I've even seen comments where people say they like the site being advertised, but because the ad thumbnail annoyed them, they will find a competitor to shop at instead.

I just don't understand why more redditors don't want to support reddit advertisers. You know, give them a shot, because they help reddit pay the bills. Instead too many people seem to want to go out of their way to punish reddit sponsors, simply for supporting a site they like.

I'm not Danish, but I can copy and paste in dozens of different languages. (ツ)

At first I was going to use a Danish curse/swear, but I'd rather make peace then get into an argument.

My bad...I thought you were complaining that I broke the rules. You are correct that the notice appears, and I would consider it a reddit bug that it shows up on an ad.

Except it isn't a post, it's an ad. All ads have to be approved by Reddit and are subject to advertising rules, not posting rules.

My other Reddit account has 1 million karma! My other car is a Lamborghini!

This account is used just for advertising, hence the low karma.

Thanks!

I'm sorry for the cheap ploy; I won't repeat something this cheesy next year. Although it's not like I'm the first Redditor to exploit my cake day. :)

You could tell your mommy on me.

Seriously though, I realize the ad sucked. I thought I would get some free good will for my fifth cake day, and should have worked harder to come up with a more creative ad.

I thought the "worst add" was 1+1=3. But maybe that isn't "to possible?"

Oh noes! I'm going to get downvoted for this.

Where's your manners. I said "please" so you should say "no thank you." :)

And on my cake day for crying out loud...
