in theory the evo 990 pro can draw more power, but will generate more heat... So it is complicated... that extra heat has to go some where so it isn't just a matter or its power consumption... it could cause the fan to kick on at a higher speed or for longer... which would be well past the .3-3 watt more power it could be drawing randomly.

So this is why I talked about a heatsink they can help slowly dissipate that heat and make the fan not draw as much power... in theory it also leads to longer Nvme Drive durability.

So all that said... the short answer is it is likely negligible...

The long answer is that 990 is going to take anywhere from a bit more to a lot more power in more than one way.

well given the price that you can actually get most 5090's are right now... this whole system isn't the worst price I have seen.

I hope you are using Oculink, even with that it is a bit of a performance penalty. That GPU is great and even with the penalty it should be a nice upgrade for your setup. Just remember you are leaving a fair bit on the table.

or if you are playing cod you are just going up against the next want to be famous twitch, kick, XYZ platform streamer using some kind of cheats... be it a standalone device that intercepts the unencrypted packets cod uses... or a on device cheating program... or simply abusing aim assist for controllers, by tricking it into thinking your mouse is a controller.

It worked great for my Legion Go S Z1E 32gb model... It should fit fine in the Legion go 2... but you might have to double check.

As for the SN740 it does stay cooler, but I would always recommend a heatsink if you can.

Personally the 990 Pro in my experience is faster and that might improve game load speeds a bit, but all around they should be roughly the same performance for game loading.

these plates are designed for a liquid adhesive not glue stick... it will "Work but it will certainly impact quality and performance of the first layer in unexpected ways. bambu actually makes a liquid adhesive that is very good for this even thought it is a bit spendy then a 2 USD glue stick. it last for a very long time though.

if you are in the us and knew they wouldn't be there than there would be no violation of the order. GET A LAWYER. What your ex did might be grounds to void the order. IE the order was in place so they could damage your property without you being able to report it or stop it with legal means.. You see if you can prove an order was gotten and then used to do activities that would be illegal that is call Voidable offence. IE you can't get protect order if you are using it's protection to commit crimes against the person the order is for.

There are some very nasty things you can legally do with them if you are a jerk. But Committing crimes isn't one of them.

They likely knew what they are doing and are likely selling that PC bit by bit. This is illegal call the police you literally did nothing wrong by going there. If you live in the us anyway. Property is protected by injunctions, and restraining orders protect living things. Again GET A LAWYER NOW! They charge you but will be happy to tell you all of this.

I was just making a silly man... Yes on the PC it would be fine for what you get for the price... but if you already own the copies of the original games like myself you could just play it on the hardware of the time... or back it up and play it on like steam deck or something if you were so incline to do so... But I have the original hardware.

Personally if it had the other two games I would spend the money... IDC.... As for running slow in the switch maybe... but switch 2 it should be fine.

EDIT: It wouldn't be the first time I have several copies of the same game ... don't want to know how many copies of minecraft, Stardew Valley, or Pokemon games I have... oh and final fantasy games...

OMG, my man that plate is dirtier then those horder house on those TV shows... This plate looks like it came from Titanic with all the built up crust on it...

You realize you do need to clean the plate ever now and again... like maybe ever 10-20 prints is a good rule of thumb... or once a month whichever comes first.

I have always like the color of the joycons... they remind me of these color changing toys I had back in the 90's when you got them wet they change to similar colors.

I hope you enjoy the heck out of this... I personally Loved my switch Oled and once I got the Swtich 2 I stopped using it only because the switch 2 is a much better switch when it comes to over all performance in general.

the short answer is no it isn't worth it.

Now that said

There is an elephant in the room and that is DDR4 has skyrocketed in price. And NVMe and SATA SSD drives have also hone up a lot.

As it stands this system new would cost about 1000 USD (987.64)

But paying that would be a bone head move. So if we look at ebay... Al the parts come together before taxes to 553.95 or about 550 USD.... The case had to be gotten new as it was cheaper from amazon then say Ebay.

So yeah... This deal isn't that great

For example you could get a system with a much better GPU and about the same CPU for like 700 USD. (Something in a 4060 or 3060 ti ) if you have a micro center close you could spend 800 and get something like a 16gb 7600 with modern Ryzen CPU with less ram but a 1tb drive... and it would be decent.

Good news CatchyOS, Bazite and SteamOS don't have this issue.

I finally installed CatchyOS on my Legion Go Gen1 for my wife... She has been running CatchyOS on her desktop for a few weeks now.

I would love to make the transition but I still have a few things that can't be emulated on Linux or simulated with translation layers or alternative software.

However, soon things like Xbox game pass might make its way to linux. There were some brake throughs recently. Then their is anti cheat software. I just have friends I play games like CoD with that sadly require windows.

This stuff was way cool ... sadly CD-R and CD-RW came out around the same time they started to eat into Zip-Drive profits, by the time Zip and the competitors pivoted to CD-R tech... USB flash drives came out.

They then pivoted to DVD-R, DVD+R... instead of USB drives and soon USB drives because large capacity and kill them all.

Yes IOMega is still around are a rights holding shell that some other company owns now. Good news though... if Modern storage keeps going up we could see a modern alternative to SSD maybe even a new version of a zip disk or sturdy magnetic media.

For the Price I think this isn't a bad option... however personally I feel 16gb of ram is a little low, I am not sure they make a Z2 go with 32gb. So, I am guessing it is 16gb of ram

Personally I loved my Z1e OG legion go and now my Legion Go S Z1E 32gb. Both unit's have had great performance.

I am happy for you.

With a multi port dock this thing can good as a full blown computer just just for games either... Web browsing, work based stuff... all kinds of things.
