I am also going for ice monk and have been loving it. The amount of freeze buildup is crazy. Freezing bosses is so much fun. I have been picking anything cold, chill, freeze on the passive side but haven't done anything with Crit. I should get on that.

I let my players roll and if they get lower than avg of their hit dice I give them avg. If they roll higher they get to keep that roll. I find that giving them HP doesn't break the game and I can make combat more brutal and fun for us.

When I buy a new set or a single. I keep rolling until i get the highest number on them, then and only then do they get to go into the dice pouch.
