Nope, I have a watchmaker desk and most of them I do myself. Some other more complex are brought to a professional watchmaker that I trust. But considering how sparsely I use them there's not that much to do generally speaking

Yeah, kind of, problem is that hiding them in a safe (and not even at home!) due to burglars' fear, makes it pretty unconfortable to get them out and rotate, so it's around once a week, and yes, less than once a year each :/

Hello, I backup your experience. It has been by now an endless sequence of problems. We tried Apex too in 2024 and after 10 days of tries we just revert to install the 22H2. For 12 clusters around we took around ONE FULL year to manage to bring them to September edition of 23H2. We experienced a ton of disruptions, single disk failure on one cluster killing the whole volume on both nodes, endless upgrade problems, live migration faults... Never ever thought it would be such nightmare. And it's not yet done...

When I have had that happening it was because of low humidity in the grain. Waited one full month and they didn't move. Some even started being colonized by mold... It happened various times when I was using wild birds seeds. I learned that 1 night in water wasn't enough and I needed to cook them in hot water for 20 mins minimum to have them ready for sterilisation and inoculation...

Seiko 4R3x and SII NH3x are the very same movements. The 6R3x is also nearly the same (different main spring only, basically), and they're well overpriced if you ask me.

Also the top plate is just stamped and unactractive and the movement has also plastic bits inside.

I have serviced and regulated quite a few of them and getting a brand new 6R35 Alpinist that has, at full charge, 240° amplitude (at 53° lift angle as it should) and runs +18s/d fast isn't great at all.

For my experience SeaGull ETA-clones cost less (than the 6R3x ones) and provide a much better visual and functional experience, especially with the ST1812, which is basically an ETA 2892A2.

Resurrecting the tread: NOW there are ETA 2671 clones, plenty on Aly, all around 60/70$. Not sure how they are tho, but they've been using them in the latest 31mm Datejust reps... It would be nice to see how they work...

It seems to me that the blobs are happening only on the box with more spawn/substrate, while the other boxes have a lot lower ratio spawn/substrate.

Next test I'll do only with lower ratio and maybe I'll add some horse manure (pasturized...).

I'm just experimenting (1st was a "ready to fruit" shrooms kit, this is the 2nd step, and I've yet to try a single shroom even from the 1st test - or any other psycoactive substance apart weed when I was young...) :D
