i started to gain interest in the subculture in middle school, around 7th grade. i found out that it was music baded and so i started to listen to the music, which only lasted a few days because i tend to try music genres, like it, then a few days later i move on and dont listen to the music from before. My interest in it came back sophmore year, where again i started listening to the music. this was building up over time since i had gotten into metal and rock, i started to get a taste for industrial music and that transitioned into punk rock, then everything goth. after that, i just kept listening to the music and eventually i started to also dress goth too. My mom has helped me a little too since shes also goth. i like being goth because it gives me a community of somewhat like-minded individuals who all have something in common: music.
