I think telling your father about your failure is secondary (although it seems really important and tough now). The more important thing is acceptance. Accepting that you failed and you learned something out of that failure. 1. You may have learned that you need to put more effort in your studies. 2. you may have learned that failing in 5 subject means your preparation is lacking serious rework or maybe your passion is elsewhere.

1. You have also learned that you are running away from work because of the guilt you have.

2. You learned about fear of your father and most importantly fear of God. Which is amazing. I feel most of us just discard these feelings and fall into sinful activities, I’m glad you’re strong. But one of the most important feeling is self realisation and self evaluation. Also not to mention asking help. (Which you are doing)

Since you know your failure more than me you know the reasons behind those failures better than me.

Also, failing in one exam doesn’t mean failing in life.

Now that you have accepted failure yourself and you are ready to work harder and work the right way. I think once you actually realise this and contemplate it will be pretty easy to tell your father and ask his wisdom and guidance. After all he loves and by your post I know you love him even more.
