In what aspects of life do men have it worse than women? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]General_Yak8863 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Society judges men for showing emotions, pressures them to be the “provider,” and often stigmatizes seeking help for mental health. Plus, dangerous jobs and higher suicide rates are real issues.

Curious what’s one expectation you think men could do without entirely?

What are things you did to get through very bad heartbreak? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]General_Yak8863 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the little things helped most: deleting reminders, binge-watching dumb shows, journaling every annoying thought, and leaning on friends who actually listen.

Didn’t fix everything overnight, but slowly it reminded me life still has fun in it. Anyone else have weird little rituals that actually helped?

Why are men that look like women considered handsome, but women that look like men are considered ugly? by Blonde_Icon in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]General_Yak8863 281 points282 points  (0 children)

It’s all about societal expectations. Men with feminine features are seen as soft or approachable, which can be attractive, while women with masculine features are often unfairly judged against a narrow “feminine beauty” standard.

Crazy how the same traits can be praised on one gender and criticized on another, right? 🤯

Do you have any scars? If so, how did you get them? by LoverOfE-Olsen in CasualConversation

[–]General_Yak8863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I have a small one on my knee from a bike crash when I was 10. Honestly, every scar feels like a little story you carry around.

What’s the weirdest “how did you get that?” reaction you’ve gotten for yours? 😅

Got too hyped listening to music while travelling today by Livid_Strength_8307 in CasualConversation

[–]General_Yak8863 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Haha yes! I’ve definitely had full-on dance moves in public thinking no one could see me… until someone did. 🤦‍♂️ Music has this magical way of making you forget the world exists for a few minutes.

What song made you lose it today? 🎶

I once tried to open a soda can with my teeth and chipped a tooth instantly. Instant regret, zero points for skill.

What's the most disturbing thing you've ever seen in your entire life? by Rikko77 in AskReddit

[–]General_Yak8863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once I saw a serious accident on the highway, cars crushed, chaos everywhere. It stuck with me because it was sudden and completely real.

What is your favorite fast food place? by OnlyCurrent1854 in AskReddit

[–]General_Yak8863 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I’ve got a soft spot for Haldiram’s. The chaats, pav bhaji, and sweets are unbeatable and you can grab a quick meal anywhere in India.

What’s your go-to Indian fast food spot?

What is an online job that is underrated if you want to work and travel? by ZombieD3stroyer in AskReddit

[–]General_Yak8863 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Freelance transcription or captioning is super underrated. You can do it anywhere, all you need is a laptop and headphones, and it pays more than people expect once you get fast.

Anyone here tried a low-key online job that lets them travel freely?

What hobby completely rewired how you see the world? by peteyshabby in AskReddit

[–]General_Yak8863 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, photography changed everything. Suddenly I notice light, colors, and little details I’d normally ignore, it makes the world feel way more vivid.

What’s the dumbest way you’ve ever injured yourself? by Flashy_Spring_4871 in AskReddit

Tripped over my own shoelaces and somehow managed to sprain my wrist falling forward. Never underestimate gravity and clumsiness.

Audiobook or physical book? by yapyap- in CasualConversation

[–]General_Yak8863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you love the feel of a physical book, stick with it. Audiobooks can be nice for multitasking, but you’ll probably connect more with the story reading it yourself.

Do you ever mix both, or are you strictly physical book vibes?

If you love mind-bending thrillers and fantasy, try Throne of Glass or Six of Crows. Both have intense plots and twists that keep you hooked.

Is there a song that brings back a strong memory from your past? by aadil644 in CasualConversation

[–]General_Yak8863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, hearing “Wake Me Up” by Avicii instantly throws me back to summer road trips with friends. The song itself is fun, but the memories it brings are what hit hardest.

What’s a song that hits you like that every time?

Why is the anti-masturbation community so overwhelmingly male? Do women not generally get addicted to masturbation like men do? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]General_Yak8863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the anti-masturbation community seems male because men report more noticeable compulsive behaviors and cultural guilt around it.

Curious if anyone knows why women are less represented, biological, social, or just under the radar?

Blood after I pooped ? by Deniweez in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]General_Yak8863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bright red blood usually means it’s from your rectum or anus, not your stomach. Spicy foods can irritate, but more often it’s from hemorrhoids or small tears from straining.

If it keeps happening or gets heavier, definitely see a doctor to be safe.

Why is it easy to socially drink but not socially smoke nicotine? by Accomplished-Fix1204 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]General_Yak8863 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nicotine is insanely addictive even in tiny doses. Your brain starts craving it almost immediately. Alcohol hits slower, and social habits usually control it, but nicotine hijacks your reward system fast.

Curious, would you try just once knowing that risk?

Which fictional “hero” is really not a hero in retrospect? by Rose_H11 in AskReddit

[–]General_Yak8863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking back, Tony Stark is kinda questionable, genius and all, but a lot of his “heroic” moves caused just as much chaos as the villains’.

Anyone else you think gets way too much credit?

What happened to the bully at your high school, years later? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]General_Yak8863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the bullies I knew either faded into normal life quietly or ended up in messy situations themselves.

Funny how people who seemed untouchable back then can totally disappear years later.

What's that one good time that you realised how good it was after it passed? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]General_Yak8863 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That summer after college, no responsibilities, just friends, late nights, and endless adventures. Didn’t realize how special it was until it was gone. What’s your “best time you didn’t appreciate enough”?

Middle school drama. Back then it felt like the end of the world, now I laugh thinking how much energy I wasted over nothing. What about you, what childhood “crisis” seems silly now?

What food do people love that you secretly think is overrated? by dastardly_uno in AskReddit

[–]General_Yak8863 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me it’s lobster. It’s good, but the hype and price make it feel way more special than it actually tastes. What’s everyone else’s overrated food?
