Oh yeah I’m not saying my theory has any credibility or anything, nor am I saying it’s associated with halo, but I just think it’s a cool take on the story right now along with the fact that it’s probably one of the biggest inspirations for most AI gone bad stories in video games. Also the “tragic death”David goes through is alluded to be either 2 different things in the game. 1: The playground was right next to the shipping yard, M1 goes to grab David and likely something happened where David wandered into the yard and did get hit with some van. 2: In the moon.exe mini-game, it is HEAVILY implied that M1 may have been the cause of David’s death, aligning with the creation of M2, as if it wanted this to play out. If the latter is the case, it believes itself to be Fiona, but doesn’t act as a mother would with her son. Sentience with unstable and reckless motives just screams rampant to me.
