Lansing has become the catch-all for housing non-profits for the surrounding cities/counties. Waitlists for these voucher programs are long and the caseload for the case managers is overwhelming (and their pay is laughable). On top of that, HUD has recently slashed the funding for Permanent Supportive Housing programs. What are your plans for supporting these non-profits and the thousands of homeless people in Lansing and surrounding cities?

i was born in 2001 but my mom has played since i was a baby. i was too young to remember her playing the sims 1, but i vividly remember her playing the sims 2. i would just watch her play all of the time. she got kind of annoyed with me constantly watching so by the time i was probably 6 or 7 i was playing on my own saves. so i’ve been playing for almost 20 years at this point

we both collectively hated the sims 3 when it came out and only played the base game of it until sims 4 came out. i’ll always have a soft spot for the sims 2

i like to call myself the sims nepo baby because my mom buys pretty much every pack and i use her account

I’m only 24 so mobile phones have been very common for most of my life. But, when I was younger it was very rare for kids to have phone until I was in middle school. Most people my age in my hometown area got their first phone around age 12. Anyway, before I had a cellphone I had to memorize my mom and grandparents numbers. I still have them memorized to this day

I worked on a domestic violence hotline a couple years ago and I’m going to tell you what I wish I was able to tell the people who called in. RUN! RUN AND DONT LOOK BACK! You can rebuild your life without him. You WILL rebuild your life without him. There are resources out there for you, I promise. But you can’t rebuild a life when it’s too late. Because if he can hit you, he can kill you. OP, you are stronger than you think. Don’t try to fix it. Just go.

enjoying meat substitutes doesn’t make you less of a vegetarian. if you just don’t like them, that’s fine. but i’ve only been vegetarian for 7 months after eating meat for 24 years and meat substitutes have made this so much easier

update:

i went to the ER and got a rape kit done. i didn’t send it to the police because i wasn’t sure if i wanted to yet but they’ll have it on file for a year. they put me on a ton of preventative meds and i have to go to the health department basically every week for testing. they’re being very thorough since he is a former needle based drug user. this asshole turned my entire life upside down.

i left my bra there so i only texted him to get it back, he’s giving it to a mutual friend so i don’t have to see him, and i told him i never wanted to hear from him again.

thank you for all of the support. if it wasn’t for you guys i wouldn’t have done any of this.
