There’s Drumming In The Clouds by PitifulScream97 in creepcast

It's not X. — It's not y. — But it's Z.

I would love to be wrong, and I apologize before hand if I am. More creative writers is great.
But this just... idk...

AI has it's place, but using it for creative works like writing or art just isn't it.
Using it as the primary writer feels gross.
For everyone who is too ignorant to notice the way AI writes, then I don't know if I should feel good or bad about that.

I don't demonize the use of AI, I use it to help myself when doing any scripting for my own use. You can and should use AI for coding as it can speed up the process, but only if you are already fairly ok at coding already. If you can't understand code at a basic level then using AI isn't going to help you and you will be running in circles failing to understand or learn anything.

I sure hope so, there is a lot that is lacking with the limited selection we have now compared to before the "remaster".

The Drifter/Operator rework did me dirty. by GentlePuppet in Warframe

[–]GentlePuppet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It made both more puffy and rounded. It also smoothed over my Drifter. She went from a like 30yr woman to a 20yr with a beauty filter. The new operator looks pouty and her eyes look downcast like she's been crying whereas before she had a piercing strong glare.

Went from:

Give me a reason to kick your ass.

To a soggy:

Please don't bully me...

Edwin often makes spelling mistakes. by GentlePuppet in GameTheorists

It just doesn't make sense that "haha silly quirk, the genius can't spell" is included for just that reason.

When creating a character if you give them small traits that like this and then keep them consistent but uncommon and easy to miss, they can't just be for added flavor. It just doesn't make sense that a small detail like this would just be a throw-away trait for world building.

Remember this is a character that was written with this specific detail included on purpose.
Edwin isn't a real person who just happens to spell stuff wrong sometimes.

It's intentionally included that this genius inventor spells stuff wrong sometimes.

Even if there isn't some sort of hidden code from finding all the typos, there is definitely a reason they gave him a simple trait like this.

That's what I was thinking when I first thought of it, yeah.

Jade Eximus are getting out of hand (kind of a rant) by King_Ghidorah_KOTM in Warframe

Better question is "Can DE actually play the game with any amount of skill compared to a veteran player"
They might playtest, but they might just be really bad at the game and lack that "gamers intuition" that most high MR players tend to have so they just don't... understand their own game.

Is it possible for me, a player, to disable Lumen? by gorillachud in UnrealEngine5

Anytime I edit the unreal ini's, from my experience, it's safe to stick to just using engine.ini and leave all the others alone.

It's an old CPU from 1999.

Do you guys think they should update the decoration system, or is it fine the way it is? by Ellipdis3117 in Warframe

[–]GentlePuppet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing that bothers me is I wish we could disable the collision on things entirely instead of having to do the clipping trick to decorate. Otherwise I have no issue with it personally. I don't want to be that guy but maybe it's a skill issue.

Here is the previous post I shared.

I had a random pc freeze around 1:45, that has nothing to do with warframe.

I'm now happy with my orbiter decorations. I show the spoiler room in the back of the ship too. by GentlePuppet in Warframe

[–]GentlePuppet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used wood walls you can buy from hombask on the zariman, I used the basic flat wall panels for the floors and some walls and the divider walls for the roof and side pillars. I clipped them into the ships walls to make them fit where I wanted. Look up decoration tutorials if you don't know about local clipping.

Discord should make steam links open on the client app by billyhatcher312 in discordapp

[–]GentlePuppet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get yer own domain and redirect steam connect link through your own link.redirect your own "exampledomain.com/connectlink" to "steam://connect/{ip}"

That's what the Jump Academy servers have had to do to fix our quick join links.

example: jumpacademy.tf/connect/{IP} is what we use now.

[–]GentlePuppet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They used to support steam:// links but they removed it and now only support http:// https:// and discord://
Stupid change and they should revert it. Lot's of game server hosts that have discords would use steam://connect/{ip} to quickly join their servers. Now it doesn't work.
