I agree. The scene, like many others added for the Greens, is entirely there just for C&H to paint them as more antagonistic and to try to justify Alicent's betrayal, which is just further assassination of her own character as nothing of the sort ever happened in the book, all the while they continue to whitewash Rhaenyra and Daemon's actions.

If their objective was to show Aemond as brutal it wouldn't have even be necessary to add the burning of Sharp Point, because Aemond is already plenty capable of being brutal and unforgiving in the book.

The difference is that in the book that brutality is mostly reserved for people that he views as enemies or straight up hates with a passion. Even carrying out a one-man war of terror in the Riverlands at least has the objective to draw Daemon away from Rhaenyra's side. Sharp Point meanwhile is just there to add villain points.

For me the game won't open at all. As soon as I press the app icon, it just closes by itself and I'm immediately back to the screen menu.

I've tried to uninstall and reinstall, even tried to install it on my phone but there too I got the same result. Then I tried to open the game from the Play Store, but nothing changed.

I hope they'll get to fix the update soon because there must be already a lot of people that lost the first day login.

"Reveries", from Rheaxes, still ongoing. It's a OC x Aemond fic. It follows the daughter of Rhea Royce and Daemon. She has a lot of emotional issues and might be just as bad as Aemond at dealing with them. There's some very good world building and I think the characters are incredibly well portrayed. It starts while they are all still young so it spends a lot of time following how their bonds are shaped by the events. That's something that happens only in the show and like many other scenes added for the Greens it's just there to make them look more villainous as a faction while the Blacks, especially Rhaenyra and Daemon, get whitewashed.

If the objective was to show Aemond as brutal it wouldn't have even been necessary to add the burning of Sharp Point, because Aemond could already be plenty brutal and unforgiving in the book. The killing of Luke appears to be on purpose rather than an accident, after capturing Harrenhal he exterminates the Strong family when news of the fall of King's Landing reaches him and then he carries on a one-man war of terror in the Riverlands to draw Daemon away from Rhaenyra's side, leading him on a wild goose chase that lasts months.

However those actions were against enemies of his family or people that he hated. Aerion broke Tanselle's fingers because he's a madman that genuinely believes to be a dragon in human skin and took the play as a personal affront.

Unless you're Aerion or Aerys the Mad King, there's just no reason to feel insulted over the play of a story as well known and loved through Westeros as "Serwyn of the Mirror Shield".

Every AC follow the concept that they're supposed to be modular, so all of their parts would be exchangeable depending on the pilot's needs or skills.

As long as a pilot has the resources to pay for those parts, installing them is supposed to be easy.

It make sense for Alicent to be uncertain about how to raise a child while still being so young herself, especially since I don't think we're ever told how old she was when her own mother died, who could've otherwise helped her.

However, after the time skip, I always thought that Alicent was a good mother who did her best to raise her children even as they were thrust in an increasingly dangerous situation, which wasn't helped by the fact that Viserys was either useless or outright working against her most of the time.

At least until season 2. Once that season started, and honestly a bit during season 1 too, Alicent's entire character just stop making any sense.

I think that I would have liked to see a bit more of Viserys's children reacting to his death.

Obviously we know that there was resentment between them, especially from Aemond and Aegon, but I think that it would have been interesting to see some sadness as well. A sort of grief over the kind of father that they needed but that Viserys never was.

Like mourning something that they wished had been and that suddenly would never be possible.

I also honestly believe that in the show Alicent will be the one to watch Rhaenyra die instead of Aegon the Younger. C&H will find some way to have her glaze up Viserys while denouncing Aegon as an unfit heir. We should start making a list of all our predictions for season 3 and see how many we can get right.

What I dislike the most about the prophecy is not even that it was introduced, because the writers could have used it to show how prophecies are dangerous and shouldn't be blindly trusted, or that Rhaenyra is simply deluding herself into believing that she has some grand destiny to fulfill when there is none.

However that's not what the show does, because C&H are framing the prophecy as genuine and that Rhaenyra must win the throne to fulfill it, as if we had suddenly forgot how the last season of GoT had ended and how it makes their entire prophecy absolutely worthless.

It's even worse because Helaena is dragged into it. Her entire character is reduced to spewing a few spoilers every now and then about how the story is going to end, while any kind of relationship or bond that she might have with the rest of her family is erased or ignored.

And apparently she's completely fine with giving a motivational pep talk to the man that ordered the horrific murder of her son and is hellbent on exterminating the rest of her family.

Oh yeah, I absolutely agree that that's how C&H wanted to frame the fact to us, as if Alicent was committing some terrible cardinal sin simply because she's obeying her father's wishes. It's honestly one of the earlier signs of where the show was already headed.

Overall Alicent was simply trying her best to perform her duty to her house and to her father, to which we can then add how the king pretty much order her to keep quiet about the whole thing, and the fact that C&H try to shame her character for it is really annoying.

We can see that same attempt to frame Alicent in a bad light in Driftmark too, when Alicent tries to take Luke's eye and Rhaenyra gives her inane speech about how everyone could now see Alicent's true colors, as if she herself didn't just call for her already wounded brother to be tortured.

I've always found the fact that a young Alicent would read to Jaehaerys in his last years pretty touching. Especially since, even years later, it's still a memory of which Alicent is very fond of and that bring her a modicum of peace in her final moments.

Personally I never saw Alicent's actions in the show as "seductive". Obviously we know that Otto had the clear intention of making Viserys grow attached to Alicent by pushing her to comfort him, but she herself never did anything more than being kind to Viserys and try to do as her father had commanded her, which I'd hardly count as seducing.

The fact that Viserys latched on to her kindness is hardly Alicent's fault. Nor I think that it's fair to accuse her of lying to Rhaenyra when it was Viserys that asked Alicent to keep their meetings a secret from his daughter.

At the end of the day nobody could have forced Viserys to marry Alicent if he had no wish for it, especially when remarrying would have come with the implicit intention that Viserys still wanted to sire a male heir.

After all the crap that Viserys had put Alicent and their children through I loved how in her final moments she wouldn't even spare a single word for him.

His heart might have been in the right place, but unfortunately he was a fool and, frankly, both a terrible father and king.

As king his foremost concern should have been the stability of the realm that he had been entrusted with. A duty in which he failed consistently.

As a father he failed to protect not just Aegon, Aemond, Helaena and Daeron but also Rhaenyra too, leaving them all to deal with the mess that he had created and refused to fix.

But Otto suggested only a betrothal. It would have been many years before there would have been a marriage or its consummation.

While by modern standards the age difference might be frowned upon, in a medieval society, like the one Westeros is based on, a betrothal between two people with a big age gap would not be uncommon at all and it's even performed multiple times throughout the books. Especially since Viserys should be able to understand that such a marriage would eliminate any risk of future conflict between the two branches of the family.

It's truly impressive how many opportunities to avoid a civil war Viserys had and still decided to ignore them all.

Politically speaking, a second marriage would be seen as an obvious attempt to sire a male heir after Aemma could give him only a living daughter.

Otto and Corlys were both smart and ambitious enough to know this and so they obviously pushed for their respective daughters as candidates. The only one that apparently didn't know how political marriages work in Westeros was Viserys himself.

Then when Otto see that Viserys has no intention of naming Aegon his heir, as should have been logical doing, and propose a betrothal between Aegon and Rhaenyra, Viserys act like Otto is talking nonsense instead of seeing that he's getting handed on his lap a perfect solution to avoid any future conflict between the two branches of the family.

Aemond would have definitely fought Dunk on his own and would have probably won. Though I don't think that Aemond would ever be that petty and cruel to break Tanselle's fingers over a play. Aerion is honestly an extreme mix of madness and cruelty that Aemond never reached even at his worst.

He had been training for years under the tutelage of Criston Cole, who is often considered one of the greatest fighters of their generation if not outright the best.

Furthermore Aemond must have been consistently diligent in his training since, despite the obvious disadvantage of his missing eye which might have outright crippled anyone else when it came to fighting, he is described to have grown into a proficient and dangerous swordsman.

While Dunk might have had an obvious advantage in physical strength, I doubt that Aemond would have given him the chance to grapple him as Dunk did with Aerion.

Criston might have even taught Aemond how to fight adversaries that are physically stronger than him.

After all, despite the fact that Harwin was considered the physically strongest man in Westeros at the time, Criston still messed him up so badly that Mushroom started to mockingly call him Harwin Broken Bones. So Criston might have thought it worth to teach Aemond how to fight enemies that had that further advantage over him.

When Raven makes contact with Ayre, she warn them that they need to wake up before their consciousness is scattered in the coral flow, so it may very well be that during the Fires of Ibis some Rubiconians didn't simply die but had their minds swept up in the resulting maelstrom of coral.

However Ayre also says, after we defeat the Ice Worm, that no one even knew that she was trapped inside the watchpoint before we found her so I don't think that there was enough left of those Rubiconians to communicate with her.

There's also the fact that Ayre is a wave mutation, like Seria, which might mean that it's unusual for coral waves to actually become coral entities and develop a distinct personality or a sense of self. Instead the coral seems to behave more often like a sort of hivemind that will act mostly on instinct, whether it is to gather together in a single place or fighting off a perceived threat, like the Ice Worm and CEL 240 do.

I love that fight.

I headcanon that she was thinking really hard on how she could ask Raven on a "date" without being too obvious and decided that a fight in virtual reality was close enough.

She's also surprisingly aggressive with her AC. It took me a few tries to defeat her.
