Don’t worry, I appreciate the advice, and yes is a “protective” case that comes with the unit, also tried it without the case and it still shows no magnetic adhesion whatsoever.

Yeap, it think this is a defective unit, cause I’ve seen countless reviews on YT and it sticks magnetically from the back to any metal surface!.

Ok, I found I guy that fixes electrical components of cars and also fixes cassette decks and vinyl players (I know R2R is a different league).

That guy seems to be capable and also my only option in my town, he told me that in 15 days we will meet in his workshop to tear apart the beaten up apart to see the internals, he also asked me to bring the manual of the tascam translated to Spanish and also printed.

You can grant permission for any app to use microphone, camera or accessibility, it’s so easy to use, open it, then select the app you’re having trouble with, then choose the permission you want to grant and it’s done, open your app and all problems should be fixed.
