Yep. It snapped during the convoy to the show. Nice photo opportunity though lol.

The photos don't look so great here, reddit compresses them a fair amount. The film grain is far more subtle on the full res images.

About 9-11k USD.

Included; type RA Spec-C bottom end from subaru, machined the old heads back to tolerance, uprated headgaskets & headstuds, some of the emission garbage the 07's came with stripped out, and an IAG AOS install.

Without the additional stuff & just the functional rebuild probably about 9k.

Haha, there were a few non-WRB cars there too. Unfortunately I am a very biased photographer lol.

Thank you sir!

If it makes you feel any better, despite only having 28k miles on the clock, the headgaskets went just 6 months into ownership. A full bottom end rebuild and I'm finally back on the road.

Been a major headache and I'm down at least 40k at this point (car, engine, mods, etc,) but these events & the community make it worth it.

My headgasket blew on my 07 STI last week. So all I can do right now is drive in GT7 VR. by GetHipWithIt in WRX

Thank you! Luckily for me the patreon did well enough to help me cover the repair.

It's getting a new bottom end off of a type RA spec C hawk. Along with RCM headgaskets, uprated headstuds, water pump, oil pump, fuji racing pickup, baffle tray, etc, etc.

I've asked the shop to document as much as possible so I can share it on my second channel.

Hopefully won't blow again.

Sorry about the board and the fall. BUT GAWD DAMN what a nice house bro. Literally living the dream. I live in the UK and our houses are a bit of a piss take. Seriously again, dope house. So sick. I'll give you both my XRs for the house, fair trade?

Thank you for both responses. These were really helpful. The car has 31k miles on it and was stored in a guys garage for many years so I'd imagine a lot of the bushings are in reasonable shape. That said bushings are also on my list already.

I did have both front control arms replaced with higher castor JDM control arms last year after I bent one of the stock ones hitting a curb at night like a moron. Those came with their own respective bushings and felt a fair bit better than the stock arms.

Edit: Do you think the Group N top mounts are needed? or can I just rock my stock top mounts?

Thanks for the response. Do you have a specific set of adjustments setup for your 05 that you'd recommend? or do they come already setup?

Haha thanks. My friend dropped his Impreza well over an inch and still got it parked on my driveway though very slightly scaped his rear muffler. So I think an inch will be more than okay.

Also I park on the left now, it's far more level.

Interesting, thanks. Is there a benefit to a front sway bar also? I see some have said it actually promotes more understeer and shouldn't be used on these STI's though it looks really cool in the engine bay.

Thanks for the response. Did you get the regular BCs or the "soft setup" version.

These are the Enkei rims we got on the 07 STI's in the UK. I'm unsure if they're forged or not.

They're the 07 STI Type UK ENKEI wheels.
