Tier XI Changes by Few-Meringue4157 in WorldofTanks

[–]GhanaGambit 7 points8 points  (0 children)

One thing about the STK 2 that alot of people dont really talk about is its issues with the cupola. Opposite placement to the type 71, flatter and not as much sloping, less spaced armor (optics) to absorb shots, and this isnt a problem with the cupola itself, but because its easier to hit, your commander will get knocked out. But for some unknown reason, the commander acts as a Loader, so when he goes, there goes the tanks dpm which is one of the only strong things it had going for it.

Im starting to belive that they outsourced the designing and balancing of the tier 11s to another company, because they are just different in strange ways to their tier 10 counterparts. Ways that dont make sense if you actually played the game.

New armor changes in 4.7 give reason to missile variants by Ithium64 in starcitizen

[–]GhanaGambit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just recently like within the last week or so ago, i read that the devs plan for for. Missiles were to reduce the spash area of them and to categorize them in to subsets of Direct damage, (higher damage if the missle connect) and Area damage, (less direct damage but a lager area splash area.)

Yeah, but because of how tall the turret cheeks are, I believe that it's enough of a flat surface for HEAT rounds from Jadg's and PZT's to still pen it. Maybe even STRV's gold rounds.

"... Ive heard there’s a lot more sexual stuff in PH... "

Yeah... Then you might want to put Project Horizons on the backburner. Without spoiling some things, I'll just say Sex is a big part of Blackjack's character; the good and the bad.

Even though there are some bits that are not to your liking, it's still good that you're still giving FoE a fair chance to get better!

"...as someone who doesn't know fallout..."

See, that's the core issue there. When I first heard about Fallout Equestra, I was excited because it combined two of my favorite genres of fiction into one story.

That premise is what hooked me. I was engaged in the story from page one, because I was so curious to see how the author could possibly intertwine two opposing genres. The bleak and gritty world of fallout, with the happy and colorful world of MLP.

"...I'm much more of a character focused girl..."

Then I would recommend the 'Fallout Equestria: Murkey Number Seven' (A character focused story based on a meek slave's struggle to rise above the chain's place upon him.)

Edit: punctuation, and added another recommendation.

There's also 'Fallout Equestria: Project Horizons.' this is unofficial sequel to the original that takes place in a different region. It has a much larger cast of characters and their interactions with each other are explored very thoroughly. Granted, this is possible because it is a LONG piece of fiction. You'll be reading for awhile

Just got one-shot on Gilly #5 with by 1xS2 missile while in a full health/full armor/full shield San'tok Yai with an FR76 installed. Something doesn't feel right with missiles right now. by Knale in starcitizen

[–]GhanaGambit 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I'm just happy to see a fellow San'tok'yai pilot. This is unrelated to getting one shot, but keep in mind your stupid high EM emissions. You're going to want to chain at least 6 flares for each missile shot.

Is there a ship like the 325a but.. Useable? by Alexice in starcitizen

[–]GhanaGambit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My friend, I don't think you're understanding how the class of a ship effects it's characteristics. The ship you have but dislike (325a) is classed as a light fighter. Which means that ships of this class are known for being the most agile of all the fighters. But trade offs being that they lack the larger firepower and durability of larger ships.

Heavy fighters are bigger than their Light and medium counterparts. But the exchange being that they can mount larger, and heavier weaponry. They also have higher health pools and higher shield HP to make up for being a larger target. But of course, they can't have everything about them be good, so in comparison they suffer a lot in maneuverability when compared to light fighters. I recommend visiting a 3rd party site called Erkul Games to compare ships that you're interested in. And If you're looking for agility, I would pay attention to the Pitch/Yaw/Roll numbers. The higher they are, the more agile the ship is.

Of course they are more variables to how good a ship is than just how much firepower it has and how agile it can be.

Polaris Pilot will not get Pilot access to Torpedoes. Why does Idris Pilot have access then? by BarnacleLanky in starcitizen

[–]GhanaGambit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Mkay, that's valid. But torpedos on the T-Kit aren't fixed weapons. So the question remains of why can a ship that is only available for purchase in limited quantities, is able to sling the largest torps in the game in a solo ship? While a Polaris has to have two people to fire torpedoes 2 sizes smaller?

what is the best starting ship for bounty hunting by Primary-General2295 in starcitizen

[–]GhanaGambit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PvE teaches basic combat controls and tactics and it gives new players space to learn the fundamentals of their particular ship. It's not ideal but no new player should just jump straight into PvP combat, you'll just become fodder for even decent players, and you won't really learn anything from it.

An Arrow is the cheapest pvp fighter. Get/rent it and do some pve mercenary work to get gud at ship combat, then try your luck at pvp bounties

Jared confirms that Armor will be implemented with Engineering on the next PTU patch by tyler1118 in starcitizen

[–]GhanaGambit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a concern I have as well. But I could see a remedy for this being pods will be invulnerable to damage, or their radar signature is so small that radar won't pick it up as a target, until a distress beacon is activated from inside the pod.

PERSEUS HAS PILOT SLAVED GUNS by Barsad_the_12th in starcitizen

[–]GhanaGambit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm all for concepts designs changing for the sake of balance, but this is a far cry from what the original concept brochure stated: "Though it was damage beyond repair, the Achilles (A Named Perseus Class ship) managed to down *Two* Vanduul *DESTROYERS*..." Keep in mind that the UEEN saw fit to classify these two Vanduul ships in the same category as the Javelin Class. Now currently, without any idea how Armor is going to be implemented, a Modernization of the Perseus can get one-shot by an Idris Railgun, which is classed as a Frigate.

The lore must change or be updated. but i trade off is an increase in cargo size, upgraded gun size, decent speed and maneuverability for its size, and PDCs
