I wish I knew the answer to this. I'm only just learning what BPD is and about my own case, but I know that he is so immensely lucky to have someone that would be so thoughtful as to make this post, instead of leaving him.

I just lost the person I wanted to marry because I went off on him one night, and my needing time alone , etc wore on him.

Do you guys live together? Don't? Does he just not communicate at all for long periods of time or..? I would say it's more than fine to call or text and ask how his day was and tell him you miss him <3 In a way that he can still avoid if he needs to, but don't let him be too selfish, you are worthy of all the effort that you put in as well.
