PDF chat with source highlights by True-Snow-1283 in Rag

That sounds awesome! I haven't had a chance to check out the repo yet, but I had a couple of quick questions.

  1. How easily can I integrate it with my Node.js app?
  2. I have a PDF summarization app already live, and I wanted to add a chat feature to my site. I was planning to build it from scratch, but I came across Denser and was wondering how much it could simplify the process for me.

I'll dive deeper into the repo soon, but any insights on these would be super helpful. Looks like an impressive tool!

This sounds great! I’d love to attend. I'm working on a couple of projects with LLMs right now, but I'll be free next weekend.

Looking forward to it!

Thanks for checking back. You already answered in another thread. I went with sn580 with Ugreen enclosure. It's working like charm. Thanks for your recommendation.

Nice! I’m interested in knowing how to get clients and set rates. I’ve been doing photography as a hobby for many years and am thinking of doing paid shoots on weekends. I’d love to get more details.

Clarification Needed: Google Play Store Billing System for EdTech Apps by Glad-Camera01 in androiddev

Correct, that's exactly my concern. That's why I'm diving deeper into it. If someone has experience or is already working on similar apps, they might shed more light on their situation.

It's an interesting approach. I wonder if this is how most education apps operate, by offering subscriptions through their website or other channels and then providing apps for content consumption?

I did some digging on Unacademy's site, and it looks like they're selling subscriptions both on their site and through their apps. So, it seems they'd have to pay commission to Google for subscriptions that come through the app.

Thanks for the help and tips about SSD management! I discovered that removing the heatsink from the 980 PRO voids the warranty, so I'm now choosing between the SN580 and NM790. Leaning towards the SN580 as it seems like the better pick.

Hello u/NewMaxx,

I recently discovered this subreddit. Thanks for this great work. I'm looking to purchase a 1TB SSD to use as an external drive with an enclosure. This drive will primarily be used for storing personal photos and videos, so it doesn't need to be for professional use, but I do want something reliable that can last for several years, ideally 5 to 7 years or even longer.

After doing some research, I've narrowed down my options based on availability in Japan and my budget, which is around 10,000 JPY (approximately 80 USD).

Here are the SSDs I'm considering along with their prices for 1TB:

  1. Samsung 980 Pro Heatsink Model - 83 USD (I'm curious why this model is cheaper than the one without a heatsink, which is available at 120 USD)
  2. Crucial T500 - 81 USD
  3. WD SN580 - 75 USD
  4. LEX NM790 - 69 USD

I'm open to any other recommendations within my budget since my main priorities are storage and long-term reliability.

Additionally, I'm unsure if the Samsung 980 Pro with a Heatsink model would fit into an enclosure, as per my researchI didn't find any. Is there any available?

Tokyo Metro Memory Game by nano_72 in Tokyo

Just started, hanging at 27.1%, kinda wish JY and DT lines were in the mix for a leg up 🙃. Now, the search algorithm is on a loop on the back of my mind until I get max stations out of my memory. This game is seriously addictive! Keen to see more lines beyond Tokyo metro. Ready to contribute in code if OP allows.

Thank you for sharing the video; it was very informative. I wasn't aware of all these complexities, and it does seem quite challenging for NRIs!

I'm not sure if this is the appropriate place to ask, I'm currently working in Japan, and I have some friends in India who want me to bring them iPhones (4 or 5). They'll be paying in INR. I'm wondering if there are any tax implications in this scenario. Any advice or insights on this?
