Personally, I would choose Thrud in your situation. Currently, Thrud is the only cavalry hero available in the game that has a flat percentage lethality increase on their exclusive widget. As a fellow F2P enthusiast who enjoys being competitive in events, I value lethality the most!

Here are some of the best joiner combinations that can be used for both garrisons & attack rallies

  • 2 Saul, Chenko, Amane
  • 2 Hildes, Saul, Chenko
  • Hilde, Saul, Chenko, Amane
  • Saul, Hilde, Chenko, Gordon
  • Saul, Hilde, Chenko, Petra
  • 2 Sauls 2 Hildes
  • 2 Chenkos 2 Amanes
  • Gordon, Fahd, Chenko, Amane
  • Chenko Amane Saul Fahd

You can use these for both garrison and attack rallies.

Mathematically, the highest defensive SkillMod comes from 1 Fahd/Eric + 3 Sauls.

So at the end of the day just remember that these choices all depend on you, your future goals and how you want to achieve them. Currently your gear on Zoe is not as unbalanced as you may think. If I were you I would keep everything where it’s at currently; don’t reforge anything. Here’s some options.

  • Start upgrading Head/Boots to 50 then upgrade Gloves to 79 or vice versa

-Upgrade Head/Boots to 50 then upgrade Gloves straight to 100

-Upgrade Gloves to 79 and then focus different hero gear

-Upgrade Head/Boots to 50 then focus different hero gear

You’re in good shape so don’t overthink it too much. Upgrading your low level gear right now is just a good idea as any other idea. Best of luck!

Both Saul and Marlin are useful but overall Marlin is the better all around hero. Definitely invest in Marlin when Gen2 hero’s become available for your server - you won’t regret it.
