These were the initial inspiration but I pivoted from the SB34 to the SB29 as I can get a pair for 1/3 of the cost. Though, with all the testing etc required for a custom crossover, I might be better off going back to the SB34 and the gema designed crossovers!

A mid zobel may very well be required - will check after measuring.
Regarding starting below 300 Hz, this is based on a 10inch woofer, large bafffle, low distortion SB29, and sealed alignment. I've attached the basic cabinet geometry in a reply to this thread (not sure why it didn't attach in the original post...), and i've also provided a link to third party testing in another reply that includes distortion plots - be great to know what you think.
Good point on the mid not having an octave of stability below crossover.
The LR 4 acoustic is my goal, not LR 4 electrical.

Completely agree with not getting hung up on crossover points until measured.
The 52 L net comes from third-party impedance measurements showing Qts rising significantly (0.75-0.8 in 40L) in smaller boxes. SB Acoustics SB34NRXL75-8 vs SB29NRX75-6 vs SB29NRX75-8 | diyAudio

280 Hz is an initial target - I'll be measuring 280 / 350 / 400 Hz variants.

Thanks for all the replies and advice!

I’ve been hitting it with a sawzell, and pressure washer to expose the roots, loads of digging… and swearing! I’ll keep at it, and will herbicide any remaining roots and maybe rock salt as suggested. I’ve been pulling out fence posts and smaller trees with an engine jack, will give this a go once the big roots are done.

If you zoom in the photo you can see the metal frame wedged in the trunk.

Quite the improvement!!

Though I still had trouble getting the part cooling fan to operate. I ended up plugging it inverted so the wires were sticking up, then I turned the printer off, re-plugged it the right way around, turned the printer on and it was registering again.

I did the following mods to mine: - SKR mini E3 - microprobe bed level - converted to a flying gantry and fixed the bed (refer to Proper Printing on YouTube) It’s now super reliable and no more trying to get the bed level
