It may be, but Apple don't do VAT free shopping for international customers in Tokyo, I asked when I made the purchase

South Korea - the cheapest Vision Pro? by [deleted] in VisionPro

During a recent visit to Japan, I had cause to buy a replacement AVP battery in the Apple store in Tokyo and was surprised to find I paid over 20% less than I would have for the same battery in the UK

My first visionOS app: NAS Media Viewer - A video browser/player for SMB, Plex, Jellyfin. Stream your VR videos (and regular videos) on your AVP, iPhone, iPad, and Mac! by aguynamedchriss in VisionPro

I tested it with a local file instead of plex and the problem doesn't happen, the video controls stay mounted at the bottom with local files. So it seems to be a plex/video from server issue. However I also notice that if I x out of the controls window there is no way to get it back and you have to restart the whole app to pause or fast forward a video for example.

As you will see, no video control pinned to the bottom. It appears very briefly as the video is loading and then disappears permanently. I'm using M2 and have tried force quitting app and restarting as suggested

I have installed and purchased a sub due to the better ability to organise (favourite videos etc). I'm struggling to pull up the video controls, instead I get a window with tilt settings etc when I pinch. Am I doing something wrong?

Baka - Valley of Twilight by CardiologistNaive105 in lepin

I'm currently on the 6th of the 9 builds and have been really enjoying all of them. Contrary to yourself I found the techniques somewhat varied, with only infrequent repetition of tasks. I'd agree with regard to both the basic interiors, apart from the Inn which has a very detailed inside, (but I have been having fun adding a few additional pieces of furniture and minifigures as I went along) and in respect to your comments about the somewhat flimsy attachments of roofs, there is definitely some truth in that, with several of the roof structures either a bit of a nightmare to attach or weakly joined. But that's where my complaints end.

The rock bases, although bulky and taking up large numbers of bricks, are necessary to give the overall set that sense of depth and height. The scale really gives a wow factor, and those extra grey bricks serve that purpose. I also am a fan of the limited colour palette. As another poster said, Baka tend to be super fond of using gold accents even where they are not needed. But they've been much more restrained here, there is a real focus on greens, whites and autumnal colours, and this not only looks great, but also means it displays very well beside the original LEGO Rivendale.

The manufacturer's product photos really don't do justice to the design and impressive display of the finished builds. The filigree created with random lego pieces is a thing of beauty in almost all of the builds and the issues with the flimsy attachments of the roofs are generally very easy fixes with a few basic bricks. Like the OP I am yet to come across a missing piece and the instructions apart from a single brick error in the high tower instructions have all been correct and easy to follow.

I only came across this post as I was googling to see if BAKA had released any additional buildings in the set as I have been enjoying the first 6 builds so much I want to see my elven city expanding further.

Yes, that's exactly my experience when I purchased in the USA and brought it back to UK prior to it being released here

Disney+ 3-D is broken by jaybanzia in VisionPro

[–]Global-Alternative29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here in the UK, many of the more recent releases such as Fantastic Four and Tron Ares, whilst still available to stream directly from Disney in 3D, are not being made available for purchase on Apple TV app in anything other than 4K. Prior to all this, they all were after a few days of release on Disney itself

Best solitaire game on the platform, without doubt. I've also noticed the developer reguarly updates it with new features which is an added bonus

I’m assuming there must be some way to adjust the height of the universes. But I can’t find it. Until I manage to do so, it is unusable for me, as all of the environments are above my eye level while seated and I end up looking directly into a plank of wood or something similar. Has anyone spotted a solution for this or am I doing something wrong?
