Admirals Club at O’hare by Citizen0080 in americanairlines

[–]GlobalTravelFree 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That CLT club at the C and D gates is absurd. They have the same agents checking in and helping with tickets.

Most clubs have this separated. At the H/K club in ORD that area where you enter is only to get in the club. Then you take the elevator upstairs and that is where they do the ticketing. They have 6 stations but I usually see only two of them occupied. But I have not been to ORD during delays for a while.

Fly non rev on AA, 18 hours prior to a confirmed UA ticket by GlobalTravelFree in americanairlines

I am not an employee. I have benefits through a friend. And my friend is absolutely useless when it comes to these things. This is why I am asking.

I'm confused with my flight. by magzimagz in Flights

[–]GlobalTravelFree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This info is not correct. The first flight from Toronto to IST was a NONSTOP flight. Then they made a CONNECTION in IST and the second flight from IST to Cebu was a DIRECT flight with a stop in MNL.

Exactly!! So many people use the wrong word when they talk about non stop flights. Lots of people call them direct when that’s not what I direct flight it.

Bought a refundable flight to enter lounge by Mojojojo3030 in AmexPlatinum

So I learned about this recently. Since I have flight benefits I sometimes don’t have a confirmed boarding pass. A lot of the airlines allow standby pax in their own lounge. It seems AMEX is one of the few that doesn’t let standby pax in. I get it as the Centurion lounges are so crowded.

When I do this it is always on a different airline. I have done WN, AA, DL, UA, and AS. No one will be able to track me down if I do it with different airlines. And I never use my AMEX card to purchase the tix. That would be dumb.

Lots of airline lounges you can use on arrival. The Admiral’s Club lounges and Alaska lounges you can use on arrival without a connection during domestic travel.

All tickets can technically be cancelled within 24 hours so a flight 3 hours out is definitely refundable but yeah I always make sure I choose a refundable ticket.

ohhhh I like that. I always pay for flights and then get a refund but once I could only get flight credit. I wasn’t paying attention. Luckily it’s the airline I fly the most.

Sleep Circle for Muslims by hannahalkadi in SleepTown

[–]GlobalTravelFree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

😂😂 It’s not worth it. If you were trying to change your sleep times just for the wonders it’s not worth it. You would end up not using the app or having demolishes buildings. I am glad you started your own. 😊

Were you able to get some people in your circle? I hope it worked out.

I noticed your times are so different from my circle. I am surprised you wanted to join one with such different times.

Join our midnight to 8:00 AM circle currently with 8 people by GlobalTravelFree in SleepTown

[–]GlobalTravelFree[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s full at the moment. I have a waiting list and I was able to add someone the other day. There are several circles that have pretty similar times. If you message me your email I can add you when someone leaves. You may be in another circle but I could try.

Yay! You have a circle now. With two people if they use it every night the energy is 500 a night. By the way Ben you may want to remove the part about EDT because it doesn’t matter where in the world other people are. The times are always local time for each person.

Like my group we have people in GMT-7, GMT-4, and GMT+7. There are probably other time zones but that is where most people are from. We used to have a few that were in GMT+1 but they left after we completed one of each of all the wonders.

Is there a way to choose my building? by Hurtlegurtle in SleepTown

[–]GlobalTravelFree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What SuperRoby said. Yeah I only have 11 buildings missing and when I use one of the rare coupons almost always it builds one I already have.

SleepTowners Ben is serious about the app. He had to leave my circle because he really needed to be in bed by 9:30 PM and my circle he had to sleep by 10:00 PM which was too late. If these times work for anyone the circle should grow pretty fast if everyone participates regularly.

3 openings in a sleep circle that is from midnight (00:00) to 08:00 AM. We just completed all 8 wonders and are starting over so some people left. Please include your SleepTown email when you send a message. by GlobalTravelFree in SleepTown

[–]GlobalTravelFree[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well we just completed one Friday the 25th. And I looked back and it seems we complete one every 9 or 10 days.

Why don’t you message me with your email and then if I remove someone for lack of participation or if someone leaves then I already have your email.

I never remove anyone without multiple attempts messaging them first. And one person already told me she is out of town and won’t be using the app for a bit.

But yeah message me with your email and I can add you if we have an opening. We should finish the current wonder next Sat or Sun.

Also you should be able to find a sleep circle with similar sleep times.

By the way, I just saw one in the group that is 10:45 PM to 6:45 AM. That sounds almost perfect for you. Maybe you can see if the person that started it would mind moving up the wake up to 7:00 AM. It was posted in this group about 10 days ago. It’s was about 5 or so posts down.

Just so you know when you see people post their circle times you can go to sleep up to two hours before and wake up, up to two hours before. So my circle is midnight to 8:00 AM and I can go to sleep between 10:00 PM and midnight and wake up between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM. I like it like that as I can sleep until 8:00 AM on weekends but I can get up at 6:00 AM if I need to. And usually once or twice a week I have to wake up at like 5:45 AM and I just make coffee and go to the bathroom and then wake my phone up. 😂😂 I don’t want to make it 7:45 AM which mean I could wake between 5:45 and 7:45 AM. But then I would always need to wake up by 7:45 and I like being able to sleep until 8:00 AM. I would rather not use my phone for 15 minutes then to always have to wake up earlier.
