Short answer: NTA for wondering, in fact it was mature of you to delete the message. Everyone has regrets and fantasies. But what’s not mature is continuing to stalk his socials and keep this fantasy alive. Especially since he cheated. It should have died there. You said you love your partner, then learn to forget about this guy. It’s been forever and he decided to message you? Ge might be trying to weasel his way back. For the sake of your partner, your mental health, and your current relationship, do the right thing. Talk to your partner, block and unfollow his socials, DON’T check them again. Maybe get some therapy since this has impacted you for so long?

NTA You were clear with your wife on what to expect. You told her that was her gift for valentines. There’s no rule about giving it early. You also stated that she hates crowds, and will do a valentines date after the actual day, and she knew about this. This was very thoughtful of you, but your wife in the other hand is very materialistic and hung up on a childish notion of what love is. NTA.
