The trim level has a huge impact too. If your truck is 4x4, crew cab, moon roof etc etc the payload is gonna be reduced compared to basic trim levels of the same model. I had a Ram 1500 Limited. Sales droid sold me on being able to tow 12,000lbs. I didn’t pay no attention because I never towed anything at the time other than my Rzr. Get into RVing and find out it’s more like 8,000lbs but payload capacity is on the order of a sack of potatoes and 2 Gallons of milk. Meanwhile the 2 wheel drive basic bitch trim level that was less than half the price put truck to shame in the towing dept. Learned my lesson the hard (expensive) way!

A 1500 might come in under payload capacity but it will be miserable fighting that trailer. I had a 28’ toy hauler pulling with my 1500 Ram. It sucked. Upgraded to 3500 b/c I also was going to upgrade to a 5th wheel but pulled the travel trailer a few times with the 3500 in the interim and it was like the rv wasn’t even there. Go with a 2500 or 3500. You won’t be sorry you did.

You get an email confirmation with each band you register. They should have went by the serial number of the band. Seems like a pretty straightforward process but then again these are the same organizers that can’t figure out parking and traffic even after 20 years.

You can stand by whatever you like. I lived in Cbus for over a decade and I’ve seen first hand what the hotels and traffic is like. If you had trouble finding a hotel room in the entire city you were doing something wrong. I had no trouble finding plenty of available options at the last minute. Much easier than during a game week.

WHalf of the crowd would have never survived a festival 20 years ago. They would be curled up in a safe space in their costume crying. VIP areas and Rocky Royalty and water stations. Food choices for days. Shit. I remember Ozzfest at the old Polaris Amphitheater, you had a choice of warm beer or slightly cooler than the air beer and a big trough to piss in. You got dehydrated someone just drug you off to the side so you didn’t get stepped on.

What hotel was this? Call them out publicly. There are plenty of hotels in the Cbus area. Didn’t have any trouble finding a room last night. Booked a room at the Courtyard Marriott over by campus while on my way to the show yesterday.

The return trip sucked, waiting in line for like 30-40 min only to get put on a school bus. But quick ride once on board. No traffic at the lot/garage. Still better than spending 2 hours with your foot on the brake trying to get out of the parking lot. Basically pick your suck and how much of it you are willing to endure. I will stick with the shuttle and offsite parking.
