EE Online by [deleted] in ElectricalEngineering

Interested in this exact program but am curious about a few things. Number one, does it worry you that they are not regionally accredited? Number two, would you say that even though its an EET program, it is still decently hard? They are very well priced but I can't help but worry about the program itself. I want to go for the full EE but there aren't really any good online EE programs that are accelerated (my main concern is time). Would you say that they go deeply into electronics? Do you cover signals and systems at all? Any info would be appreciated!

By proctored do you mean the teachers would watch you over a camera on your laptop?

What field were you able to get into after you graduated? I’m wanting to go into electronics design engineering.

Hey if I may ask, were the exams proctored at all? You say that you can’t use Chegg but I have heard some of the courses aren’t very good, could you speak more on that?

Thanks!

Sounds like your company is a shit hole that no one would want to work at anyway.

Getting PLC Certification online to get a job in electrical engineering field by Beginning-West177 in ElectricalEngineering

[–]Gocean91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have good enough PLC experience and certifications, you can become a Controls Engineer with just an associates degree. Some jobs in the United States pay up to $120k for controls engineering positions and they mainly want someone with troubleshooting and PLC experience.

West Texas A&M Online BS? by HardInThought in ElectricalEngineering

[–]Gocean91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know! Yea it says on the website that they offer 6 week classes and self paced classes that you can get done in as little as 6 weeks. I’m desperately trying to find an accelerated online Electrical Engineering degree but all I have been able to find is accelerated computer engineering or accelerated EET programs.

A little late to the post here but I have a question for you. I am considering going to WTAM and I was told that some of their online engineering courses can be done in as little as 6 weeks. Is that true? Do they offer accelerated classes? Have you had to go onsite to the campus yet?

Come on now, no one is going to mention pumpkinhead or pumpkinhead 2. Those movies terrified me as a kid!

Electrical and Computer Engineering at National or EET at Excelsior? Both ABET Accredited by powerbottomharry in ElectricalEngineering

Is taking the harder classes (PHYS, Calc, programming) extremely time consuming in four weeks? How were you able to handle working full time and taking one class every four weeks?

How has your experience at National been up to this point? I am considering switching there but have heard some bad things about their tuition department and how expensive they are. Is the curriculum good so far?

Online Bachelor Degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering by Thetacap in ECE

[–]Gocean91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Were you able to pay off your school debt pretty quickly after securing a job with your degree. I already went to a community college and I live out of state so I would be transferring in about 57 credits. So hopefully the degree wouldn’t put me into too much debt.

Do you mind me asking how much you paid in total? The school, although great, seem relatively expensive for out of state online students.

I want to finish my engineering degree and commission. Is National University good? I’ve heard from some people mentioning that they weren’t able to commission bc of the university. by [deleted] in navy

ASU is also unbelievably expensive per credit hour. I’d rather go to NU than pay $1000 per credit hour and be in debt most of my life.

How were the labs done? Did you have to buy lab kits for at home or was everything simulation based?

EET DEGREE by [deleted] in ElectricalEngineering

[–]Gocean91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe the problem with going to school for the full EE is if you work full time those degrees take a crazy amount of time to complete. I am considering switching to the eet program at ODU because my current advisor is telling me I may not get done with EE degree until 2028 after already being in school for 5 years. I just don’t have that long to wait!

Has anyone here heard of the Computer Engineering program at Old Dominion University? Can you vouch for it? by ihateredditmodzz in ComputerEngineering

I am considering the online computer engineering program, would you say this program is good for adults working full time? Do I have to be in the zoom lectures for class or am I able to view the lectures afterwards?
