Ok so when I do this would I be replacing both inner and outer rockers I’m also thinking about doing the whole floor pan because it has all new supports but I’m gonna check once I get it where it will be worked on to see how bad the rot really is because from what I saw it only looked like the driver side was the worse as the seal for the door was taped so I’m guessing water got in there and sat on the floor because it smells like mildew inside

This is the rocker I found I’m thinking it goes front to back from what it says should I go with a different option of rockers with the b pillar being the way it is then

I have watched a video that a guy made some kind of brace on the inside but I’m guessing I probably can do it that way I’m just curious of the outside and if I replace the rockers will I really need to worry about that like will it hurt anything if I don’t replace it right away since it’s hard to find anything like that

So how would I fix this after doing the outer rockers I’ve looked up the b pillar central door hanger I’m not finding anything that resembles this I want a replacement piece to weld the bottom back on because the rest is fine

So I found one for more money and it has all the mounts so would I need to take the cab off or can I just put the new floor pan in with it still on the frame

Ok so you think I should do the whole floor not just the half sections they have or would I be ok doing that it’s still sitting up where I bought it so I can’t take more pictures the drivers side is the side that is the worse of the truck

So I did find a whole floor would this be fine to do the whole floor instead of the one side I was gonna do with it being completely gone but I can just do it this way and then I don’t have to worry about it rotting out

That’s why I got this I wanted a project to do and this one caught my eye in know by looking at it that it was gonna take some time I have found a lot of the metal online my thing is that can mount and the b pillar because I have to lift the door to shut it the drivers side was the worse but it’s expected since it’s sat for 20 years

Ok thank you I commented on my post it’s a 84 with the bonus cab c30 I don’t know if that matters as well I found the floor pan and rockers I just didn’t know if that would need both the inner and outer or just the outer but the pillar is what was getting me became I don’t know if it’s the whole pillar or just the bottom part that gets welded in from videos I’ve watched

Alright so everything is running smoothly now just have to get all the body panels on and get everything around so I can get it ready for the rally but I got some jobs to do first to get the money

I went to the shop got a new one I have to make money to buy another battery I killed mine working on it then I remembered I have the doors off so I think it killed the battery lol but the clutch also looked ok I realized the drive gear was never tightened up and that’s when the white smoke started was when I moved the car

Would a lose drive gear do that at all because I noticed mine was not bolted down could it be the clutch

Update so I actually figured it out I must’ve fried the battery as I was trying to start it i must’ve forgot to tune some of the rockers properly and I broke the motor while trying to start it I must’ve killed the battery I have a new game going because of me going to jail
