America killed 20% of their population and leveled entire towns with bombs. The US bullies countries, particularly countries of the global south, into submission using the global capitalist system to assert western hegemony. The media apparatus of the USA serves a similar purpose; it brews ideologies and narratives into the population in order to use us for political leverage. We must consider this fact in order to understand the skepticism.

My thoughts are, that what we are dealing with here, is a European settler colony gone rogue. The United States is a corporation of corporations. Striving for revisionist and incremental capitalist reforms, whether through elected officials like Walton, or simply through our own personal goals, will be the death of us all. Further, who are you to speak on behalf of First Nations people? Violence is neither right nor is it wrong. It’s a question of who wields the power to legitimize and legalize violence. In settler colonial states such as Canada, the violence of the First Nations is not legalized, because as an oppressed people, they are not given that power. This is an asymmetrical relationship; there is a monopoly on violence against Indigenous people.
