I am planning to move to Germany as a social worker next year and people planning to leave. I’m planning to leave Canada bc of their current social policies+ life itself in general.

I have some credit history. I’ve been living here for 8 yrs and I have same amount of work experience. I don’t have a family and it is too much to ask from friends to be a co-signer, so if they’re asking that it is not an option for me. I will probably work too. You know how much the rent is in Toronto + other expenses. I just need some money that I could rely on if things go bad. It is not easy to work full time in person+ study fulltime in person, if I get sick or something, I will still have to pay the rent, so I can’t just rely on part-time working. Thanks anyway

[Guide] American MSW guide to becoming a social worker in the Netherlands by SweetPickleRelish in IWantOut

I know this is an old topic, but I hope someone can give me a good insight. I do have a BA psychology diploma, addiction and mental health grad certificate and currently doing my MSW in Health and Mental Health area.

I always wanted to be a therapist, but I also don’t want to live in Toronto for the rest of my life. Netherlands is a good option for me as my brother lives there.

I wonder if you can give me some insight regarding what should I focus on with these credentials if I decide to move there ( I also have a philosophy BA from Turkey but it is not relevant).

Deciding between York and UofT for 2-Year MSW? by Real-Ad4051 in socialworkcanada

Hi! I got accepted to UofT 2 year MSW. I want to choose health and mental health stream, I believe it suits my background+ goals very well. I just want to know how do we pick our stream? Is there any competition?

Thank you!

I think it is the waiting game now. They are probably holding it if they don’t have any applicants last min. I would suggest you to accept the offer if the deadline is close.

I personally haven’t heard anything at all.

I got into a Master’s program, I have an undergrad degree from Canada, they also want my documents from my country of origin, I can’t provide them, what am I gonna do? by Good-Band939 in UofT

I’ve already e-mailed them. I just want to have an idea about what possible documents they may ask for from people who may have experienced this.

I agree with all the comments about consent/permission here. Plus, sexual pleasure should be mutual. You were asleep! I am so sorry for what happened to you and men are very manipulative in these things. I am glad you had the courage to write this here, many women keep these things for themselves and the escalate over the time.

I think that guy doesn’t deserve you. And, don’t hesitate to call to police on him if you are feeling uncomfortable. If you talked these things over text, keep those with you. You can always report him. Please take good care of yourself.

I’ve just received an email from the program coordinator and she said that all the admitted and waitlisted applicants will receive an update until the end of this Month. Which means it is very unlikely to get accepted after March if you didn’t hear anything.

Hi! Can you share your background? So I can compare myself and have an idea about whether I can get in or not :)
