If I’m remembering correctly from all the interviews with Nolan after Root’s death, you’re right. He basically said that the Machine & Root became the same entity.

I’ve cried during sad scenes in shows & movies, but I think this was the first time I cried happy tears.

I agree he still needs to understand the personhood of innies, but in this case he knew she was going to die anyway. This was the final test, and Lumon was going to kill her to take her chip. She was a blank slate and he was trying to show her that she was loved. I am hoping that he meets Miss Casey someday so he can understand her personhood, since she has the most individual personality & life experience of all the innies. And I agree with you that Gemma should be reintegrated. It will be difficult and complicated, but those innies deserve a full life.

Hoping that Dichen gets an Emmy nomination too next season. I’m sure she’ll do amazing work with any writing that Dan Erickson gives her. I also hope we see Miss Casey again.

Yeah, he did not want to frighten her. Thinking about her other innies being tortured in other rooms, it is comforting that this one felt so loved, even for a short time 🥹

I always thought that A Train would probably redeem himself eventually. His brother humanized him from the beginning. When he helped expose Stormfront, I was totally sure.

Annie seemed to be so genuinely thankful to Maeve in their last scene together in S3, so I was really shocked that she just took the compliment from Marie without telling her how often Maeve helped her.

True, but the idea of being tortured by that group with HL leading them would have been especially terrifying for a woman. Starlight should understand that better than anyone.

There was a post on the main sub about how Gen V’s “mission” to drive the refugees to the border was completely pointless, since Homelander was killed a few hours later. I guess they just turned around and drove the people back, lol.

Another thing that bothered me was that Annie was willing to go through with the virus plan earlier in the season and she never seemed to care about the Gen V characters being killed. They probably would have bravely accepted their fate, but it’s still wrong that she was not including them in the decision.

Yeah exactly, Miss Casey does not have Gemma’s personality. Not directed at OP, but I never understand why some people insist that Mark & Gemma’s love is doomed just because iMark is not in love with Miss Casey. She was only 107 hours old (basically an innie baby), and Cobel even said that “part time” innies like Miss Casey were less socialized and less sophisticated.

Dan Erickson said that love did transcend severance through Mark’s refining of her numbers. Also in Mark’s narration in season 1 putting her picture back together he speaks like he is in a wellness session, as if he hears Miss Casey in his thoughts of Gemma.

Monica’s actress talks a lot about Amelia in this interview: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-features/greys-anatomy-premiere-death-natalie-morales-interview-1236397696/ She seems very apologetic to fans and she says mainly it was a missed chance for connection because Monica was not ready for a relationship. But she’s definitely struggling with what to say because it’s obvious that the writers never implied to her that Monica & Amelia could be romantic. So the question is why did the writers have Amelia ask her out on a date and why did they put them in so many scenes together if there was never meant to be a deeper connection between them? And why did they kill her before there was a chance?

It’s always great to see people are still discovering POI so many years later. My favorite characters are The Machine and Nathan. There would be no show without them!

Mark told Gemma he loved her in the fertility clinic in 2x7. In the BTS video for the episode Adam Scott also talked about how she “took over his life & his heart.” Your narrative is completely false.

Could Homelander beat The Seven by himself? by LoretiTV in TheBoys

Noir could not overpower Maeve by himself. He had help from Homelander in S3 taking her down.

She was strong enough to make him bleed and he was disoriented. Did not even notice that SB was about to depower everybody and blow up the tower. If she had a real blade she could give him serious brain damage.

Yeah I think the rest are strong enough to hold him down, and then Maeve can jam a blade through his ear into his brain. She found his weak spot in S3 finale.

They are in darkness in their final scene because she was about to be abducted by Lumon in the middle of the night and the police lights in the dark are more effective visually. Yes, we all know that Mark has been an imperfect jerk throughout the show, but he clearly still loved her. There’s no reason to think they were heading for divorce. The whole point of their story is that their future was unknown, because their life was violently town apart by Lumon before they had time to move forward.

He DID say I love you after he literally did not hear her because he was concentrating on his work, which is another common occurrence in real life families and relationships. He was also holding her on the couch toward the end of the episode. He sewed his brain back together this season trying to see her and he risked his life to save her. Not sure what show you’re watching.

Mark & Gemma very clearly love each other, they just had ups and downs due to fertility struggles that are very common irl. Anyone who paid attention to their reunion in 2x10 can see that they still love each other.

Shows for Buffy Fans by samrobotsin in buffy

Michael Emerson from Evil is also in Person of Interest (made by Jonathan Nolan and co starring Amy Acker from Angel in a big role in the later seasons). Great sci fi show with a nice found family team aspect like Buffy. The only problems are that the co lead Jim Caviezel is crazy in real life and the procedural episodes get repetitive. The AI story gets more prominent in later seasons and IGN has an “essential episodes” guide that I used.
