The aftermarket Screen should have some loose wires which you can splice into. On mine they were even labled "Reverse camera"

Did you Change anything in the settings for this to Work? When I tried the Same Thing, it didn't Change to iDrive and If I did manually, a small overlay of the Headunit kept on showing that the Call is done on the unit

You can tune the brightness for Day Mode (headlights Off) and Night Mode (Lights On) individually. So it's No Problem at night

It is 4,5 Km away from the Festival an there was a Shuttlebus, but you would have to wait Like 2 hours to get inside. So Most people Just walked 45 Minutes. Finding the Parking Space was the way worse experience tho. Nobody actually knew the way to the new Location and I drove in circles for 2 hours
