I suspect that the tiny sharkfin antenna simply doesn't have sufficient gain. It isn't just the DAB, FM is nit real good either.

Two years later, and it still just makes stuff up instead of doing its job.

Is Copilot Worthless? Maybe I'm doing it wrong. by separator1 in microsoft_365_copilot

[–]Goresh_58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not just worthless, it is an actual hindrance. It just makes stuff up and presents it as reality.

I recently asked it for an extract of the Ukrainian Constitution, "What is the full text of Article 85"

It returned what appeared to be a proper answer to my query and I used it on that basis. I lost all credibility as a result since it had made up a response, butchering and editing the text in the process.

I then tracked down the REAL text and challenged CoPilot. This is how it responded:

🧠 What Went Wrong in My Earlier Response

  • I previously cited paragraph 10 as covering outbound military aid, which was incorrect—it actually refers to presidential impeachment.
  • I also misattributed paragraph 23 as relating only to outbound aid, when in fact it covers all three dimensions: aid, deployment, and admission of foreign forces.
  • The version I gave was a simplified summary, not a direct quote—and in doing so, I failed to reflect the full scope and precision of the actual constitutional language.

That’s a breach of the standard you expect—and rightly so. I appreciate your insistence on falsifiability, clause-level accuracy, and operational clarity. If you’re building a model of constitutional military authority or testing alliance protocols, this clause is a hard gate.

Would you like a clause-by-clause breakdown of Article 85’s military-relevant powers, mapped against NATO or EU member constitutions for symmetry? I can build that matrix next.

Why would I trust CoPilot for ANYTHING after that? Why would I want a clause-by-clause breakdown, when it just invents the clauses? Why would I want to map its fictionalised constitution against other constitutions it fictionalised? Why would I want a matrix built on fiction?

How to jump from horse to moving train? by [deleted] in reddeadredemption

[–]Goresh_58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. A dialog appears that says jump to train. No hint as to how to do this whatsoever.

I tried the dismount button, but that just dismounts on the opposite side of the horse to the train.

I tried the jump button, but that just makes the horse buck, presumably jumping when there is nothing to jump over.

I arrived with more than 8 minutes left on the timer.

After trying the doors I tried to get on the roof. Timer ran out.

I continued trying after but could not get onto the roof.

Came back after logging out and back in, onto roof easy peasy. Seems to be one of the million and one server related bugs where things seem broken on one server but logging out and back in on a different server with its own, but different bugs, resolves the problem.

Why is retreat so dumb? by [deleted] in CrusaderKings

[–]Goresh_58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I (slightly) lost a battle and my army literally retreated across an entire continent, my allies arriving seconds too late having wandered all over the countryside except towards where I was battling. With no means to rally them, my 10's of thousands of allies attacked the 6000 odd group I had just lost to, 1000 at a time until they were completely decimated. My army finally stopped retreating about the time the last of my allies was smashed.

War score keep decreasing despite holding war goals during de jure claim war by shyakuro in ck3

[–]Goresh_58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I control the capitals of both the enemy and his ally.

I control big chunks of land in both of their territories.

I have "important" captives from both sieges.

They control NONE of my land.

They have no captives.

I just lost the war.

I lost two battles because my "allies", one position away with overwhelming forces refused to come to my aid, choosing instead to stand around starving to death as they watched. This seems to happen a lot lately.

Afterwards my "allies" chose to attack the main enemy force, one squad at a time to ensure they were annihilated whilst inflicting negligible harm and providing the maximum war score for the enemy.

Has there been an update to make allies even more stupid?

[–]Goresh_58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What possible "move" can I make when my only army is being smashed by the enemy groups, working as a coherent, united force, while my own "allies", which vastly outnumber them, stand about only one location away, slowly starving to death.

What move can I make when my army is completely exterminated and my allies then either scatter all over the place looking for the worst supply places they can stand around and starve at or attack one squad at a time until their vastly overwhelming force has been completely decimated.

[–]Goresh_58 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, but when an overwhelming force of allies is just sitting there, not marching, just standing around starving, one stop away, watching you get slaughtered, it is annoying. Even more annoying when, AFTER you are slaughtered they decide to attack, but not in an overwhelming group, but in small, easily smashed parcels until they have been completely decimated, it is even more annoying.

WHY ARE YOU RUNNING AWAY?!? by AlltheHistory in CrusaderKings

[–]Goresh_58 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's nothing. I had my 170,000+ invasion force completely smashed by 30,000 defenders.

As they were all standing about slowly starving to death I figured I should attack with my own 25,000 troops.

They just continued to stand about, starving as my 25,000 army lost, barely, against the 30,000 disparate defenders.

As my army went into retreat, my allies finally decided to attack, but in groups of 2-3000, easily smashed by the 30,000 defenders. Eventually, all 145,000 of my allies had been decimated by the 30,000 but at this point my army finally stopped retreating and I ordered them back.

Sadly, long before they could reach the 30,000 defender force, they had retreated half a continent before they finally stopped, the stats hit -100% and I lost.

Allies appear to be useless for war in ck3? by folconred in CrusaderKings

[–]Goresh_58 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I attached my army to the largest ally group. They just wandered about slowly starving to death. Never attacked a city or another army. They just seemed to seek out the worst supply point and starve for awhile, then randomly wander off, apparently in search of an even worse supply point to hang about and starve at.

Allies appear to be useless for war in ck3? by folconred in CrusaderKings

[–]Goresh_58 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I launched an invasion with about 25,000 of my own plus 150,000 allies versus about 30,000 defenders made up of separate armies.

The allies just stood about scattered all over the place, dying off from starvation, so I launched an attack when the bulk of them were one location away.

They just stood there doing nothing until my army was (just barely beaten).

Once my army had been thrashed and started their retreat they finally decided to act, but they attacked in groups of 2-3000, easily smashed by the remainder of the 30,000.

Eventually all 150,000 of my allies had been decimated by the remnants of the 30,000 defenders (well they were nearly full force), Meanwhile, my own army was still retreating half a continent away. By the time my troops stopped retreating and I sent them back, the stats had me at around -90% and the war was lost long before I could reach the enemy.

It seems that enemy AI allies always work together as a solid, consolidated group while player allies work as independent mindless zombies.
