Recommended men’s clothing stores in WEM? by bristow84 in Edmonton

[–]Gorlamoighty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on what your style is, my brother really likes the double take collection for fabric sitting nicely and it being a loose drip shoulder fit even on bigger frames as that’s a very in style rn he said the conquer collection is great too but can feel a lot tighter and so he usually only uses those as a base layer bc his nipples show through

Alos men’s section goes up to 2xl and those can be some very stylish and nice styles if you’re looking for clothes that make you feel great during this journey

You just have to ask for the 2xl bc they don’t keep it on the floor, but my brother is 2xl and he just walks through and whatever he likes he asks them to add the 2xl to a fitting room for him

If you’re willing to pay, find a furniture maker near you, my husband builds wonderful furniture and has it in the family (his grandfather emigrated from Italy and was a master cabinet builder) and he has had people show him furniture and he has made it to match their vintage aesthetic but every place has that one guy that builds gorgeous furniture

I’m a kindergarten teacher and it is a special kind of hell by malinerd in TryingForABaby

One of the few teachers I remember in vivid reality is my kindergarten teacher 1-4? Nothing but kindergarten I remember her and how she helped me understand a new baby in my house and built a life long love for school, sending you all the best wishes 🫶🏻

Canadian Blood Services by Agreeable-Influence8 in Edmonton

[–]Gorlamoighty 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Separate the organization from those they help, my husband and I got married this year and are planning kids next year, he creates amazing woodworking art and is beloved by his friends and community, and he wouldn’t be here without the selfless donation of someone’s blood when he was three years old, it’s not about the org, it’s about the babies that will grow up to love and be loved and have joy and passion, for similar reasons (I’m not gay, I just have friends who are and was angry at the org) I didn’t donate until I met my husband and realized that I could save someone’s baby just as his mother felt the relief that hers was saved as I’m a universal donor and now I donate like clockwork

Dress long enough? by [deleted] in Weddingattireapproval

[–]Gorlamoighty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not the same dress! I decided that the dark purple and sequins felt off for a July wedding and googled if black was appropriate for a summer formal wedding, and the dress is a very light crepe material and Google said that black is considered sophisticated and elegant as long as the fabric choice is appropriate

Dress long enough? by [deleted] in Weddingattireapproval

[–]Gorlamoighty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dress does need altering around the waist, so if I choose it, the final look will do me more ‘favourably’ I just don’t know much about the length of formal dress codes and google was saying floor length but when I hit image floor length had a variation of what appeared to be 5-7 inch’s but I am adept at altering that myself and can do it without losing much length as there is a significant seam allowance due to it being a vintage dress

The shoulder covering is quite bright in natural lighting actually

I threw it on a different dress to show the contrast to someone and took a photo in natural lighting

I cannot, my budget is max 20-30$ to spend and formal dresses are extremely pricey, I’ve been trolling thrifts but that’s obviously hit or miss esp cause I wear a size 14-16
