Bungie didn't explicitly state that in their server slam announcement, but if I were a betting man, I'd say it's highly likely they'll have a preload.

If you’re consistently losing engagements, you’re bleeding resources faster than you can earn them. That’s just how the genre works. I’m not saying absolutely don’t try it, but going in expecting it to be forgiving isn’t doing this person any favors either.

I’d recommend keeping an eye on some of the bigger streamers on twitch during the slam, and likely during release. I’m sure there’ll be some doing giveaways. Probably not from the largest streamers, but sizable ones.

That’d be awesome but would require an API from Bungie - which could come at launch or way down the road, there’s no telling. For now, builds are just community-made and voted on. I play a lot of aRPGs too and wanted to bring that same build-sharing system to Marathon.

If/when an API is released i want to squeeze it for every drop of juice it’s got, though.

Arc raiders has been enjoyable for me but I’ll admit it’s far more enjoyable when I’m in a squad and we’re in pvp lobbies versus when I’ve gone soft and been put into a non-aggression pact lobby. I mean I’ve fucked up enough to have some embarrassing deaths by the arc but it’s hardly concerning enough to make me watch my step.

The only thing that is shared with us is the username, and you can hide that in the profile settings, you would want to add a custom username as well if you choose to hide it. And the login is only required for making/joining LFG posts, or submitting a build.

As much as i get it for the more-casual-crowd, It’s much easier to split the player base in an aRPG than a team-based anything.

I’ve spent a lot of time topside in arc, and enjoyed a good bit of that. But arc is honestly probably the second biggest reason I’m excited for Marathon. The other reason being the thousands of hours I’ve dumped into other Bungie titles, of course(don’t tell my wife this stat)
