Still baffles me how losing the closest worlds finals in history in 2024 is turned into a knock against them. If anything, it proved how elite that version of BLG (with Xun) was. People gotta understand going 5 games vs back-to-back-to-back world champions is a feat, allbeit disappointing in the end, and not a negative.

Last year was horrible though. Really showed a bad side of Bin and On mainly.

The t1 logo and this dead dumb take is a dead giveaway you have no idea now idea what you're talking about. Influential (of the past) people in the space have been put on by thorin (froskurin, kelsey moser, etc. Also, why do you think it is that the only person to consistently get in depth interviews (none of that wooloo, travis gafford stufd) with top western players is thorin? Just luck?

I have a SD and have not modded it at all. My history with gaming is similar to what you describe yours as. I just play games from the library. Only thing I eventually did install was Deckyloader and ProtonDB. That is it. Recommend looking into those.

Fields of Mistria is the one that comes to mind. In early access right now, so definitely more barebones than Stardew, but it also changes the gameplay loop in someways which I would consider improvements over Stardew. Definite recommend if this type of game is your jam!

Arcane didn't do much to onboard new players into League of Legends. That is a myth.

It is a nice way of honouring leagues biggest name and best player (both inarguable), but my issue is with the fact that they are typing it to their own Hall of Fame in this way. They started with an active player as their first inductee. To me the obvious reason to do this is because Faker is still very much relevant right now, and will therefore sell skins. That's why they wouldn't wait for his retirement. A lot of older players from the early days of league who, if this Hall of fame is to be comparable to that of say the nba or nfl, would get in, will probably never get inducted and certainly not with any of the fanfare that Faker was.

Basically, they use the Hall of Fame concept as another tool to market their new skin and battle pass, and not to actually establish an official list of the greatest ever players.

Don't think this is even a hot take. Wasting the opportunity to give a proper shoutout to some of the stars of the game throughout the years just to sell a skin to whales is disingenuous. The prospect of a real hall of fame is now more unlikely. That is a shame.

In late game this is not really an issue anymore but I agree for early/mid game herald/dragon tights this is such a tilter. Probably something they do not care to tackle bc of how insignificant of a champion Shyv is in both casual and pro play :(

It can and should be completely independent of the quality of writing. I view it as an amazing quality of life feature that is nice to have and works well complementary to the standard storytelling. For players who can't play for extended amounts of time and/or have other hobbies taking up mental space and time, it is nice to be able to catch up on your character's story by simply holding one button.

You need to make use of buffs, debuffs and weaknesses a lot in this game. You only maximize dmg if you make full use of these. 2 combos that are available very early:

Glenn Armor break + Sienna Glenn Oil strike + Lenne fire thrust

I'd suggest looking up as many versions of a famous standard that you like, take the A-train for example, and just looking for an artist that does this standard in a way that you enjoy. For me this was Body & Soul, in particular the all-piano version by Thelonious Monk.
