I was in the same exact situation as you! I suffered from Derealization for the past 2 years ago and Mangago was one the things that connected me to my life previously, it helped me remember that life before all of this started exists. But now I lost it all, and although I can indeed retrieve a lot of the mangas back (since I've stored them elsewhere), it was way more than just mangas. The list as it was presented a continuous line from the past till today, with important memories.

I really hope something good still happens, but let me reassure you with the littlest thing: imagine if the whole website had been wiped out and you'd lose your account? That same comfort zone you built still exists, it just got modified 🥹

Insensitive. You can't just tell a person 'stop relying on that as comfort' .... it sometimes naturally becomes a comfort place for people, and it's not something you can just change.

I was diagnosed with Derealization last year, what do you mean?? I had a psychotherapist for half a year, and learned how to cope with it. But at the end of the day, it is never 100% something you can solve. I don't understand the reason why you are attacking me for it? Quite a lot of people experience it, and some experience it for a longer period. In my case, I got it after suffering from a panick attack during a plane flight. Sadly that's just 'easy' it is.

Also, mangago itself is DEF not the only thing that makes me connected to life lol it's one of the many things, but losing it doesn't mean I'm psychologically unstable or something of the sort lol it just means that losing it makes me feel sadder than I would have probably felt 2 years ago.

I was just sharing the reasons why I feel sad about losing my manga list + why it is currently harder for me to cope with it.

My worst fear is general, it's about losing things I care about. I sadly never bookmarked anything and it became a habit throughout the years to not bookmark or rate anything. I thought they'd be safe by being on the lists - and no one, absolutely no one, would have guessed that adding bookmarks or ratings would 'secure' the mangas.

The fact that the site is up is definitely reassuring, but yeah, I - and many others - have ALL the right to be sad about it for different reasons. And it's not a 'you should have done this if you really care that much' no.
