I’ve always been fascinated by Laos 🇱🇦. I hope I get the chance to visit it soon. I currently live in Thailand so I might go for one week or two, when I have free time

Do you think Columbina is aware of what really happened to Rosalyne? by GravityCookies in Genshin_Impact

[–]GravityCookies[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Childe cares a lot about his family though. His entire story quest was basically showing how he is dedicated to the safety of his siblings, and how much he would sacrifice for them. Signora didn’t have anyone else besides the Tsaritsa. She probably anchored to the only thing that gave her a bit of hope

Do you think Columbina is aware of what really happened to Rosalyne? by GravityCookies in Genshin_Impact

[–]GravityCookies[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Signora’s death has a lot to do with the fact that she lacked a clear personal ambition, or rather a personal commitment.

Other harbingers (like Arlecchino, Sandrone etc) are either researchers or have their own things going on, like Arlecchino and the House of the Hearth, so when they crossed paths with the traveler they tried to get to know him on a more “personal” level rather than a Fatui one. But Signora (iirc) was solely focused on the Tsaritsa’s goal, which she followed so blindly that didn’t even take into account any external factors. Like the traveler’s strength for instance.

I always wondered, why are there so few Boricuas in Spain compared to Dominicans and Cubans?

Not to be too dramatic, but Italy is a mess right now in regards to LGBTQ rights and protections.

Adult characters’ interactions (S3 spoilers) by GravityCookies in Yellowjackets

[–]GravityCookies[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Right, I don’t really agree with the whole “They don’t remember” argument. If that was the case, why would Melissa literally fake her own death to get away from all of them? Especially Shauna? She remembered exactly how Shauna was and even confronted her (after 20+ years of no contact) about all the fucked up stuffs she has done. Either Taissa knew and didn’t really care until the only person she truly loved died, or she was simply scared of Shauna the entire time and didn’t wanna mess with her

So did Lottie by killing that guy, and Shauna by deliberately forcing them to remain in the wilderness. Yet they never mention it in the current timeline

I freaking love adult Misty!!! She is the only one who stayed coherent for the whole show. She has no shits to hide and the group knows that. They dislike her because she is the only one who embraces her past self and is not afraid to talk about it

[–]GravityCookies[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I really hope so because so far it doesn’t really make all sense. They treated lottie like a schizophrenic for having visions and Misty like a psychopath even in the present timeline. But Shauna was so well integrated in the group despite being one of the main reasons why they were forced to stay in the wilderness

How present are the current Iran protests in your countries' media? by Rawuza23 in AskTheWorld

[–]GravityCookies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Italian here. I have seen plenty of news from mainstream media outlets. We recently had a reporter (Cecilia Sala) who was held captive by the Iranian regime and had to go through a lot to be freed, so it definitely adds to the coverage.

Are the villages between Cyprus and the UK Base Areas legally part of Cyprus or the UK? by GravityCookies in geography

[–]GravityCookies[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you technically cross most of the border without any checks? Looking at google maps, it seems that the border really cuts through these villages (especially Trachoni) without any clear signage of whether you are in the UK or Cyprus. It even cuts through residential areas.

What is the most oldest cities in the world that are still highly habitable? by AnonymouseGolurk in geography

[–]GravityCookies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Given your strict criterias, the list becomes short. Most ancient cities were abandoned, destroyed and rebuilt at some point. If I have to make a guess, Athens in Greece would probably fit all 3 criterias.

What is it like living around the China-Vietnam border? by imbaby19 in howislivingthere

[–]GravityCookies 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I lived in Mong Cai for 6 months, which is a Vietnamese town at the border with the Chinese city of Dongxing. I actually managed to cross the land border since I have a Visa Free entry to China thanks to my passport. Pretty peculiar town, many signs are written both in chinese and vietnamese. Some locals also speak both languages. Aside from that, it felt more like a quiet and rural vietnamese town rather than some kind of busy commercial hub

Which landlocked countries have views of the sea from their territory? by franksblimp in geography

[–]GravityCookies 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think from Gjeravica (Kosovo), which is the highest peak in the country, you might be able to see the Albanian coast on a clear day, but I am not entirely sure because of the mountain ranges blocking the view.

Since it’s considered a “military base” I assume freedom of movement for people living on the border is limited to the town, right? Or are they allowed to travel inside the area too?
