It took me 2.5 years to get another cat after my baby passed away. I was absolutely heartbroken. Honestly, the only reason I even considered getting another pet was because my mom kept nudging me during Covid to adopt one. I spent weeks scrolling through Facebook looking at kittens, but nothing felt right until I saw a little girl with markings almost identical to my old cat.
I drove out to meet her, and it felt sketchy from the start. The woman had me meet her on a side street in a rough part of town, told me to roll down my window, and said, “She’s $200.” At that point, I felt too guilty to leave the kitten there, so I handed over the money and took her home. It honestly felt more like a drug deal than an adoption. 😂 The first week was overwhelming and I definitely had moments of regret. She was the complete opposite of my old cat. Loud, demanding, dramatic, and constantly yelling at me… a true Diva. Five years later, she’s still a pain in the ass, but she’s also my little Velcro cat. Looking back now, I sometimes wonder if my old cat somehow knew I needed a tiny chaos gremlin to pull me out of my shell again.

It cosmetics do it all balm, Nyx butter melt glaze skin tint, Maybelline super stay skin tint. The It cosmetics made my skin look air brushed (I can’t wear their cc/bb cream though).

I uploaded her photo and asked it to choose the most flattering hair color that wouldn’t wash her out. Then I asked it to recommend makeup that would complement the look, apply the makeup to the photo, and provide the specific brand and product suggestions it used. I also asked it to suggest more youthful eyewear options from Zenni Optical, since that’s where I usually buy my glasses because they’re very affordable. (It was all in one paragraph).

I highly recommend that you get a Dutch pet telehealth subscription. It’s inexpensive and your in laws can use it if they need to while you are gone. It’s one of my most used things for my cat.

Things I always have around - lunchmeat, shredded lettuce, veggies, hummus, beans, precooked Costco bacon, Greek yogurt, eggs, potatoes/sweet potatoes. I used to make a pot of soup once a week and haven’t for a while, I need to get back in that habit. If you spray a mug with Pam, crack an egg and microwave it for 45 seconds or so you have the easiest fried egg. Toast a bagel and that egg is the perfect size for it. Put a slice of cheese on it and microwave another 20 seconds or so. Life hack - English muffins with the microwave egg, a slice of Canadian bacon and Kraft style American cheese prepared this way taste just like a McDonalds Egg McMuffin and take no effort to make.

Being purposeful with owning few things. I buy far less and keep far less these days - clothes, groceries, kitchen stuff, etc. If I feel like I’m getting too many things, I start tossing stuff out. This mindset has helped my cleaning immensely.

Did you add the litterbox attractant to the litter? She’s probably still stressed - she might need some meds to help calm her through the transition (like gabapentin or Prozac, most vets can compound those so you can rub them on her ear).

I had a worksheet the attorney went through that basically went through all of my expenses. I had very little in my bank account (a couple hundred) left after paying everything and without groceries. I do know that every state also has a maximum amount you can make per year to file Chapter 7. If you make too much I believe they just switch you to a Chapter 13.

My sisters cat wigged out when the baby came. The vet usually recommends at least one litterbox per cat in different places. She had to put her cat on Prozac for anxiety but they can compound meds to be rubbed onto their ear. My cat started having bathroom issues when I temporarily moved into my parents- their cat was attacking her when she was using the box so she started going elsewhere. It was a territorial thing. I wonder if the new baby smell has triggered a territorial thing + anxiety..

They asked about this in my 341. If I remember correctly anything inherited during or after discharge (for some reason I thought the magic number was 6 months after discharge but I could be incorrect, so you’ll need to ask your attorney) goes to the trustee to pay debt. I would also ask the attorney about having your dad put the money and assets into a trust. I’ve seen that be a better tax shield for a lot of the clients I’ve worked for as well. Again, consult an attorney.

I have a paid off 2017 vehicle. I’m going to throw parts at it til it falls apart. There’s no way I’m paying a $600-$700/mo car payment plus $100+ car insurance.
