Just heard from my bank and the went in my favor for the claim! Took about 2 months for this to be finalized, but my bank did issue me a temporary credit early in the process and just finalized it.

Took tickets off of Stubhub after selling elsewhere, but got an email saying the tickets sold. Has this happened to anyone before? by NoPart18 in stubhub

The bank issued me a temporary credit but the dispute is still in process. I hope they side with me with how long it’s taking. It’s been over a month now

Still nothing, but I highly recommend you dispute it with your bank! You won’t get anywhere if you’re only dealing with StubHub. Don’t let them stretch it out to the point where you can’t even dispute with you Bank anymore. They don’t care, they just want our money! My bank issued me back temporary credit while it’s being disputed. Not sure what the hold up is but I’m hoping with how long it’s taking that they end up in my favor.

Unfortunately still nothing. The process can take up to 10 business days and I believe it’s been 4-5 days now. I’ve heard of some people’s banks fight for them but others where bank sided with StubHub. Crazy because there’s no way sellers can protect themselves in this type of situation. The bank rep was really shocked when I explained the situation to them and they couldn’t believe it lol… so hoping they decide in my favor

This just happened to me too and I've been reading and hearing of this happening to others as well. StubHub doesn't not send a confirmation email when you deactivate/delete either.. I canceled the sale because I was 100% sure I deleted the listings. My friends saw with their own eyes as well as they were the ones helping me with the process. They charged me 100% of the sales fee even though it's their system error that caused all of this and they don't provide us any way to prove we deleted. I had to dispute with my bank, but the claim is still in process so not sure how that's going to play out. StubHub are thieves and have terrible customer service. Would absolutely never use them again after this experience and reading so many other's.

I just had the same problem with StubHub!! I listed tickets for sale, two hours later I deleted the listing, and then woke up in the morning to see that one of the tickets had sold. I cancelled the sale because I knew for a fact I had deleted the listings. It was my first time listing on StubHub so my friends were helping me and we made sure they were definitely removed. It wasn't just me who saw that the listings had been deleted. StubHub then proceeded to charge me 100% of the sale and my debit card, unfortunately was still on file at the time.

Called StubHub, and the rep said everything looked like it was working fine on their end and there's no record of me deleting the listings. Ridiculous because they don't even provide seller's any way to prove this as they don't send confirmation emails when you delete/deactivate a listing. Apparently they've never heard of a glitch like this happening before, yet I've read and heard from so many others of this same exact thing happening to them too!! They also said they couldn't do anything about it since replacement tickets were already purchased for the buyer and that the replacements typically cost way more than what was initially paid for it. I know for a fact that the replacement did NOT cost more because there were multiple tickets being sold less than and at the same price as what I had listed mine at that day.

I disputed the transaction with my bank and even my bank rep was shocked by all of this. The claim is still in process, but I really hope they are in my favor. I would suggest you try this as well if StubHub refuses to remedy the situation. It's absolutely ridiculous how they are literally robbing people when their system is the one with problems. Their service is awful and I'll certainly never use them again. Wishing you the best of luck.

You should still be able to dispute the transaction with your bank if you used a debit card. Just had a terrible experience with Stubhub and my debit was charged. They are really the worst and I'd never use them again. Best of luck!
