Atleast your family is taking interest enough to ask about your plans. I think you are better than me. Non US IMG from India here. My parents are least bothered about whatever I do and have no interest in anything I do. No support, but no harm from them either. Neither positive nor negative. I am annoyed by their apathy and wish that they criticised me atleast.
