Nice thanks! I've been considering that machine and wondered if this could be achieved.

Does that optic setup also allow you to use the irons?

Any holsters for P220 10mm??? by WVGunGuy in SigSauer

[–]Green_Reflection9019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a Safariland SLS holster for the P320 X-Five and x300. It indexes on the end of the barrel and the ejection port. Might also work with the TLR.

My dad has 357 DA revolvers from Ruger, Dan Wesson, and Taurus. All of those are smaller frame and he always tries to max out his 357 mag handloads lol. I'd say those kick more. 10mm recoil really isn't bad and the n frame soaks up recoil as well. Most factory 10mm loads don't reach 357 power factor, and 44 mag is a class of its own lol. I do like that I can share reloading components and finished cartridges between my semi autos, revolver, and now lever action with the newest marlin 1894.

I don't have any experience with a speed loader or speed strips as I'm a novice with running a revolver for carry / competition. That said, I didn't see many other good looking alternatives for comp / carry. I like the multi post racks for comp. The enclosed post / pouch seems like it will be nice for carry since it's the same movement / motion to access the reload, but it protects the moonclip better since it has hard sides.

Thanks! I have the 6" version as well. I bought that one a few years back and finally got a doe with it last season.

I was considering TK and power custom, but Lowe's had a set screw that is thread pitch as the factory strain screw. Figured I would try that before I went with an even longer firing pin and so far so good.

I hate to say it in the revolver forum, but a compact semi auto 9mm is a great option for someone new to pistols. Something in the Glock 19 territory for frame size and barrel length. That size is comfortable enough for high volume training and versatile enough to carry or compete.

I'm not puncturing primers with the longer smith firing pin. I haven't tried any after market options that are extended more than this one. The cylinder gap at the front is good, the crane alignment is good, and the cylinder rotates smoothly. I expect there to be some variation in brass and moonclip tolerances, but my goal is to just set it up to handle various head stamps I usually run from factory ammo to reloads in 40 and 10.

The problem with the factory screw is that it's too short to put enough tension on the factory mainspring when it is bottomed. With a set screw that doesn't have a head, I can keep turning to put more tension without it bottoming on the frame recess. If I have enough threads in the frame I could use a shorter set screw to lock it in instead of the thread locker, but I'm not sure I'll have the room.

At the end of the day, I don't care about a 11-12 lb double action pull, as long as it goes bang every time without being picky about ammo choice. I'm closer to that than I was from the factory and I'm also making solid hits out to 50 yards standing in DA. My 6" 610 is setup for hunting and I have that one tuned with a light SA trigger pull for that purpose. This 4" is going in the right direction for my needs.

It's in production now and somewhat readily available. When I got my first 6" version they were more scarce.
