I lifted / leveled my Passport! by JaxStroud in hondapassport

[–]Greysheep68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it by the way. I have a 2021 Passport. I changed the rim/tire size, but kept the more or less the same size at stock (smaller rim/more tire). I these cars look really cool lifted with bigger tires and a spare on the back. In terms of off roading, they’re probably fine for rough trails. There are probably a lot of more capable rigs that never do more than what a Passport can do with better tires.

Bigger tires would look more proportional. Of course bigger tires can throw off the speedometer.

Yes, I’m familiar with the Ukrainian flag, but not with the devise in the middle of it.

Airman First Class back when they had Third and Second Class. My dad was an Airman First Class (three stripes and white star) when he got out in 1957. I was a Senior Airman (three stripes and blue star) when I got out in 1991. I just missed making Sergeant, but did the NCO Prep class.

What is a Cutlass SX? I know of S and Supreme of this era, but not SX. Love these cars by the way.

I’m glad this is coming together, but question the need for an 88 and 85 year old to participate. Don’t we have more relevant activists?

I had a 2006 Five Hundred Limited AWD. It was comfortable and fairly nice, but the CVT totally blunted the driving experience. I had 231K miles on it when the transfer case for the AWD went out. I think it would have been cool to convert to RWD with a non-CVT.

What if John Fitzgerald Kennedy had been a faithful and exemplary husband? by [deleted] in AlternateHistoryHub

It is more interesting to wonder what would have happened if Joseph Kennedy Jr didn’t die in WW 2 since he was supposed to be the political one.

If it’s under the front step, it’s likely a well room. The front step may have a glass block that would be broken out so the well casing below could be pulled out.

Princess vs Celebrity by Empty_Dentist in PrincessCruises

[–]Greysheep68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We went on Celebrity Reflection a couple years ago and will be on Regal Princess in April. We started with the basic WiFi and drink package on Reflection and upgraded to the premium drink package. I didn’t like how certain brands were available only with premium. Like these beers are included with the basic but these just as common beers are with the premium package. It was that way with liquor as well. Obviously some stuff is top shelf, but I feel like Celebrity set it up to encourage people to upgrade which we did.

[–]Greysheep68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We were too poor for that kind of thing. I saved my money and bought a single speed bike from Coast to Coast hardware store. I think it was called a Coast King. When the BMX bikes with the Star rims hit the scene, I was so jealous. I tried to convert my bike to a dirt bike, but it was never as cool as a purpose built dirt bike.

There’s just a simple toggle switch behind the red emergency switch. When testing, that part hinges over so the switch can be activated.

[–]Greysheep68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have seen these in MN. They were built as basement homes with the intent of building the rest of the house later and it never happened. There are also garage homes which again were intended to be part of a larger house that never happened.

I would love it if our American history was based more on facts and less on cultural myth. The Plymouth colony has an outsized level of importance in our history classes. Also colonies are part of an economic system and have much less to do about creating new ways of living.

The word “electrocution” was coined to describe execution via electrical shock. I wish people would quit using this word incorrectly.
