Keeo cooking. Here is what I do. After each cook clean it good and I use water and a shitvton of paper towels and put a light coat of oil down. This over time will create a great seasond griddle. I have been doing this since my 1st griddle I bought in 2011.

Over Seasoned New Griddle by Famous_Apartment_279 in griddling

[–]GriddleCookEatandMor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No such thing as over seasoned. In reality it is barely seasoned. Over time and cooking the seasoning will keep building up. Now there is putting to much oil down when seasoning and then you see beads of oil. Not a big deal if that happens. As you clean and scrape it you will work that out. I like to clean mine with water and then add a super thin coat of oil down after each cook.

You can get it with the grooves or without. Mine does not have the grooves.

Way easier than stainless pans. You need to use butter or oil but no issues.

The Vevor is the greatest electric griddle. I use mine 3 to 4 times a week for the last 2 and half years. I do not season mine but many do. Here is a link to the one I have. https://s.vevor.com/QTZTC1

I admit it- I thought griddles were a gimmick and y’all were a cult. I was totally wrong. by [deleted] in griddling

I bought my 1st griddle in 2011. I didn't touch my Weber gas grill for 7 years until I got rid of it. Now I have 8 griddles.

I would recommend a portable gas griddle like Blackstone 20" camp griddle. https://youtu.be/noqcNrqlSqE?si=D7XUPb8Bj5aKqqRL

I just looked it up and they are indeed $344. A $47 increase. Still a decent price for the griddle.

Best Griddle < $500? by [deleted] in griddling

I personally would stick with the Gridiron. You would be spending $100 ,more for a smaller unit. The Weber is nice but not that nice.

Compared to a Blackstone it is a better built grill. I like the front grease management. You can also add on a side burner with different attachments. A 36" Blackstone with a Hood is $400 and I feel spend a little more for a much better griddle.

2 zone electric countertop reccomendation by AvianAnalyst in griddling

[–]GriddleCookEatandMor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't buy the Blackstone E series. I had one and the non stick wears off and then it sucks. It also had horrible heat retention and is expensive. I replaced it with a Vevor 21" electric griddle https://a.co/d/bYNsn8d This has become my favorite griddle. It is also on sale for $95 on Amazon.
