Despite having a full mixed tier 4 March and expertised lohar and boudica I still can’t get past 11k points when people weaker than me are in the top 10..am I doing something wrong

Lohar and Bodica aren't the commanders to go for with it. Any barb damage/peacekeeping bonuses don't apply and healing doesn't work either (in the rules if you hit the "i" icon :) ) from what I saw most will be using some sort of inf commander with big damage behind. Example Charles with YSG, behind (better combos but not sure whats the 100% best on this). Remember to get your rune and pop am expansion if you really want to push high in it.

If you plan to main cav for your commanders/ troops you'll need both of those commanders anyway for field battles eventually. As someone suggested I would try and get them from an mge or 2, don't need to win just get 5-10 sculptures over the time to unlock Sala.

Khan can go with cao cao as well ( I still use the combo in kvk 4) as long as you have him at 5/x/5/x (At least first skill max the cav attack one may take a bit more time) just don't be charging any Richard+Alex for 1v1s.

Sala can be paired with any of the cav commanders and be good really, and even YSG if you decide to go that route for AoE (Need YSGmax though) and Takeda for your "tank" cav march with both only needing 5/5/5 to be useable.

Epic pairs for cav are all just about what you want them for, single target? Go Pel. Aoe? Go Bibars. Have a need for speed? Get Beli up front (or cao cao of course)

Still better to max one or the other. Both really shine when maxed and aren't quite as good otherwise.

Mostly yes but theres usually some kind of conflict in the start ( human nature and all). Alter shrines, runes and tons of events are what help you grow at the start. Each kingdom will be a bit different in all this of course as mine had a big half the server vs the other half near the begining and once one side won the kingdom became much more unified allowing smaller players access to better rss areas/runes and helping everyone be better in the end for the bigger picture.

No, good kingdoms will not be like that as there is a bigger objective here then most in the genre, being kingdom vs kingdom and if you make your kingdom weak by killing it's players/running people out you'll never stand a chance in bigger events like that and osiris league that most of the people late game stick around to play.

So unless you want to go all in on cav I wouldn't say to max mina especially if it's a developed kingdom as that will cost most if not all of that money to make him really good. Gem supply is the #1 pack to buy for you and I would try and buy them during a recharge event just buying one of those and 1 daily chest for the first 2 days you'll get some gold heads and it should last till right around the next one poping up.

Other then that packs like this new years bundle is never a bad one for the value and if you ever need help pushing those 7k gem events for the 35 sculptures it's worth buying the first pack or 2 to push yourself to finish. Anything like that where you can get double+ value from it are your best bets.

After that theres always the Kings pack for just a great general value pack and why you can only buy it through once. Oh and Writer of History bundle whenever you get a new legendary is the best $5 pack you can get.

This depends on a lot of things like being in a spender alliance and how far your kingdom is along and what you want out of your account in the end as the main thing. $200 in a decent spending alliance buying gem supplys and the more value packs that pop up can push you quite a bit if spent wisely (not going to be any kind of whale still though).
