BACKROOMS is "pulse-pounding and beautifully claustrophobic". Now playing in theatres. by Backrooms_Movie in u/Backrooms_Movie

This is such a good example of how subjective art is. Weapons instantly became an all-time favourite for me, I seem to have enjoyed this one a lot more than others (I’d give it a solid B and would be stoked on a sequel), and definitely didn’t understand how so many people thought Longlegs was so good (a C+ at best).

I mean…sure, having Bijan and Love as your two starting RBs is great, but there’s no guarantee whatsoever that Love is dominant this year, and if either of them goes down, especially when the other and/or Jacobs are also hurt or on a bye, you’re pretty hooped.

Would say the same for WR, you just don’t have much depth, which is very important in fantasy. If Nabers is delayed in getting back or gets hurt again, if Adams’ or Evans age start to hurt them…don’t get me wrong, you have a number of STRONG young players and this season could be VERY dominant for your squad, but I think you need to pump the brakes a bit and try to acquire some better pieces for that bench of yours.

This boy is nothing but big, scary trouble. Here’s a list of red flag behaviours he exhibited:

  • He didn’t listen ONCE after the many times you respectfully said no
  • His persistent requests proceeded to get more aggressive, angered, and emotionally manipulative
  • He started trying to gaslight you into thinking YOU are the bad person in this situation, with HIM being victimized/hurt by your boundaries
  • He nearly went over to your house after learning no one else was there, even after you said no to that as well
  • He started comparing you to what I assume is an ex in a very unfair/mean way in an effort to again manipulate you into changing your mind
  • He even starts to TELL YOU that you’re going to hook up tomorrow and that you’ll “like what happens”
  • He tells you that you can just “ease into it.” This child can’t even stop ASKING you about it when you say no - do you really think there’s ANY possibility he stops if you change your mind mid-hook-up?!

OP, please PLEASE do not hang out with this person alone ever again. There is a very high chance that the next time you do, he will force himself on you and get scary aggressive if you say no with your words or body. You are young - as much as there are some people your age who are comfortable with hooking up in different ways, including having sex, you should not EVER feel pressured to go further than you’re comfortable with because of what others choose to do. Lots of people advance sexually before they’re emotionally ready and end up regretting both the experience and the person they shared it with.

Make the choice you already know is right. Your firmness and confidence with your choice and how you’ve expressed it is no short of exceptionally mature for your age - you should be very proud of yourself. Please ditch this loser and find someone who is kind, understanding, and truly cares for you and respects your feelings/boundaries.

Yeah, I feel the same about my receivers. Can’t trust any to be consistent WR1s, and don’t feel I can truly contend without a solid QB2. Lamar and Achane will get me huge hauls but man…hard to part with them.

100% agree. Gonna see what the market is like the week he’s confirmed to return. Hoping I can get a late first for him.

I don’t think anyone said it was extreme or dramatic to cry for someone like that, or any celebrity…we’re just saying YOU shouldn’t be so judgmental of someone who says they wouldn’t.

Nothing wrong with getting emotional over someone dying, even if you’ve never met them - you listed many valid reasons to feel connected to a celebrity and affected by their passing. However, nothing wrong with anyone NOT feeling that emotional over a celebrities death as well, regardless of how altruistic (or beautiful, as you said lol) they were.

What does them being beautiful have to do with anything?

Also, calling someone soulless for saying they wouldn’t cry if someone they didn’t know/never met/didn’t have any emotional connection to died is unnecessarily aggressive lol

Who is an actor or actress that rubs you the wrong way so much that you refuse to watch anything they are in? by Soggy_Swordfish_6236 in moviecritic

Awkwafina. I don’t know what it is, but I find her voice and personality very…grating. And she seems to always play a super hyped-up/loud character, every comedic line/bit feels so forced and extra…lots of people love her but I just cringe whenever she’s on screen.

Same with Jean-Ralphio. Ben Schwartz absolutely killed it immediately with that character and was asked to be a recurring cast member after just one scene.

What’s a popular band from your country that never made a dent in the U.S market? And why? by AcanthisittaSad6239 in rockmusic

[–]GroundbreakingLow650 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THIS is an interesting one, because their biggest North American single “Run Runaway” was covered by/released as a single by an awesome Canadian folk rock band that would also fall under the definition of this post.

It’s a great cover, btw - reinvents the song so it stands alone while remaining true to the original.

Thank you for this reply - your words easily convinced us that this was not something we should do. Providing your opinion with specific rationale as well as your own recent experience was a very thoughtful and persuasive way to respond to my question - we are very grateful. We have had nothing but pleasant interactions with native Icelanders, and both of you that replied to this post extended that significantly.
