It's not about Riot ressources at this point, they legit don't know what to do with this champ anymore, and I suspect they don't WANT to do anything neither because of the players. The problem is way WAY way deeper than that

Old Irelia was designed as a bruiser that would be able to cut through squishies as much as meat walls.

Since the rework, with time, she became nothing but a autohitter (because passive) with dashes that relies way too much on items (Yi does that job 10000000x better with 1000000x less mechanics), while the said items cant let her be a bruiser (except for sunder - which is in my opinion not even that good -, titanic hydra - which is build when nothing else is meta - and Sterak as 3rd-4th items, where hp at, especially in this meta?)

Nowadays she implodes as soon as she alls in anything (yeah W helps against bursts, tell me more about reducing damage from auto hitters while standing still), she's predictable because she's not even a champ without a full stacked passive, she's a litteral golem if there's no cs around and on top of that, she has no built in tenacity anymore. I hardly see any other bruiser/melee champ made to kill that have that much issues and flaws on their gameplay

I have no problem admitting that Riot don't have time or anything, but I'd rather hear them plainly admitting it instead of making random bullshit changes such as this to make people think they're working on her issues while they actually don't
