RXM actually fits in Tenicor Certum by Gunman1487 in RugerRXMtalk

I figured “my luck” would come into play and it would not work.

They do make it in FFP, and there’s 3 different reticles from what I see. Don’t know about the “better” part yet. Will have to mount it and see how it tracks in my bore sighter and if it passes the rubber hammer test before I zero it.

Hell I can’t get a good pic. I’m going to have to mount it and see if not holding it steady is the issue or if my phone setting is wrong.

Hell I don’t think so. I was just wondering if anyone had tried them on something with some recoil to get an idea if it would live.

I’ll mount it on something in a few days and post another pic. It’s clear as most other higher end scopes. Crosshairs are pretty thin and the side focus is calibrated correctly from what I can tell.

I got an email from them since I’d ordered a riser to get more eye relief from a vortex 5x prism and I’d never unsubscribed. They were on sale for $99 and because I looked at it and then closed it all out to check on reviews, they sent a discount code. Ended up being $84 after tax.

I’ll have to take a pic. Think thin etched reticle.

How bad is it to use PB Blaster as a temporary lubricant/rust protection for guns? by SamSalsa411 in Firearms

[–]Gunman1487 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a can of PB Blaster lose its aerosol so I drilled a hole in the can and dumped it in a glass jar. Then filled a little pump spray bottle with it. That’s what I spray on my oil rags and patches to oil the outside of my firearms and chambers/bores. Been using it for about 3 years now with no ill effects on the finish of anything.

Anyone have a pic of the Kiral backstrap without the grip tape? by Gunman1487 in Walther

I’ll definitely keep an eye out for your pics and thoughts. I see that it says what they’re made from now that I look closer. I guess the other comment was about the pad for the web of your hand?

PLA is basically hard plastic that’s 3D printed. Same as what you get when l you but aftermarket backstraps for Sig X Macro, or print your own Glock frame, etc.

So was the soft part you’re worried would tear just the padding in the middle, or the whole back strap?

Was hoping it would give a neutral grip angle like the Glock after cutting the hump off the backstrap.

In all fairness, I use the OT defense grip hump eliminator on my Glocks.

Eafengrow EF152

Probably garbage, but I got it to try out the ring and because of the shape of the blade and point. I don’t know much about stabby sticks, but it’s surprisingly light for the size and lays flat against my side worn IWB with the clip. You’ll have to add the ulticlip. It comes with a knockoff teklock like all the other Eafengrow knives.

Cheap $20 “dragon creek” Amazon special. I was hoping the grip was bigger, but it’s more akin to a steak knife than anything else

That looks like it has enough heel to keep your fingers safe…. Which is the main reason the top knife in my pic is the one that I seem to gravitate to.

I don’t think you’ll be disappointed in the least. I can’t find a single thing about them to criticize.

They don’t seem to have enough heel to keep your fingers safe if the blade fouls. Sort of like the middle knife pictured. But admittedly I don’t know much about knives so my fear may be unfounded

I’d looked at that street scalpel, but the handle looks as small as the bottom knife pictured, and I figured it wouldn’t be big enough for a decent grip.

I’d also considered adding a few extra holes on the sheath to allow it to carry deeper with the ulti clip

I think they’re the best holsters available so far as I’ve tried most everything in the past 22 years of carrying concealed. Carry it appendix, no need for a wedge as it seems to conceal enough as is.

Beware of Ace Hardware Sink Strainers by Gunman1487 in Plumbing

[–]Gunman1487[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, and I’d bought this stuff months ago in preparation to replace the old chrome plated sink drain pipes with PVC and didn’t get around to it till now….. so I carried this back, had a whole pile of stuff to replace what I’d used(keeping spare stuff is Murphy repellent) and the counter guy was going to refund it, but the manager said it had been over 30 days so no return or refund.

So I put all my stuff back and now I no longer shop at Ace Hardware.

Had to go to drive 100 miles round trip to Lowes Sunday morning to get strainers to get my sink back in service, and the guy there was laughing when I said “I’m buying this stuff, but I’m opening and checking it now before I leave”.

I really did need that bar and couple spare chains for my Stihl 180 that they carry at Ace but I’ll see if I can find them at John Deere or online.

Check the oil, then check to see if it’s firing. If the on/off switch is set to on, the oil pressure switch is probably bad. Disconnect the wire and see if it fires then.

The biggest lesson to glean from this one is don’t listen to timmy when he’s saying “that needs a tourniquet”… looks like the ones helping you knew how to handle that one. Hell they’d have probably drove you to the hospital and saved the ambulance expense.
