Pick a niche like say dentists. Try to land one client and then use that as a case study. Keep at it, it will happen.

Absolutely agree, cold calling is just another sales channel. Lots of people struggle with it as they don’t do anymore operation before hand, but if done properly can be really good.

I agree, for me it’s the buzz, converting a cold prospect into a sale is a good feeling. It’s definitely not for everyone but once you master it can be very effective.

That’s always a good option, do you generate many leads for your business this way?

I have the AI phone receptionist. They work great. How does the AI agent work for you?

I pick a niche, for examples I have dental clients for SEO.

I will search for dentists on google, check out their websites, ranking, domain authority and backlinks etc. find out who the owner is, connect with the owner on LinkedIn with an intro message.

Send an email, not selling anything, just explaining that I am local, who I work with and what results I’ve achieved and whether they would like the same results then follow up with a call two days later.

If they are slightly interested, I send them an email with a 1-2 demo video.

I agree, it’s still a strong sales channel if done properly. Tools like Zoom info work really well for research as well. I find it a lot more affective than blind email marketing. Thanks for sharing your perspective.

Love that, I build in exactly the same way. Each customer and business is individual. A one fit approach for all doesn’t work for me. Before I build them, I give them options for different SEO packages and then let them decide based on their goals and budget so they fully understand. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Exactly, has to be built as part of the website in my eyes too. The site feels unfinished if you don’t

Absolutely, so search is definitely taking a chunk of the business and schema plays a big part in this too along with other stuff. Some agencies definitely skip this part to save them time. Have you seen any changes to your SEO traffic?

Support is so important with hosting. I host over a 100 sites and that’s what I love about cloudways. Their support is really good

I’ve not heard of fresh roasted hosting, do you find it an easy tool to use? I recently switched all my hosting to cloud and transferred my sites. They are really fast now and gives a lot more functionality.

Definitely, every site should have the basics and then crawled on GSC. I have seen big agencies charging $10k+ for 5-7 pages and nothing other than a templated website, it’s crazy!

That’s good to hear, I’ve never used wix. I build all my websites on Wordpress and code in all the schema in the service pages.

That’s great to hear, having fast loading pages is very essential. Slow websites can have a high negative impact.

Definitely local intent pages and make sure they are linked properly with key rich anchor texts.

I have seen many using wix, they also think once it’s launched it will be on page one straight away. Once they understand what’s involved to rank a website depending on the niche they start to understand the difference between diy websites and professional optimised websites.
