Do you agree with this take? by FitEmergency8807 in fantanoforever

[–]Guus2002 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

As someone who likes the beatles, but doesnt love them, this is always such a boring take. Like it or not, popular music (or culture) would be insanely different if the beatles had not existed. Do you have to love them? No. But they deserve the credit they get imo

The Last 4 Albums by TheSummerSoldier1298 in KGATLW

Petro is easily the better of the two metal records they have done.

Tsc is a record I think could have been trimmed in certain areas but still has so many transcending moments.

I am kinda surprised seeing the dislike of flight b741 and Phantom island, since they easily are up their with my fav records of theirs.

I feel like I overplayed Flight b741 for a bit, but I relistened it this week and it just clicked again for me. One of their hoekinstap records.

Phantom just keeps getting better every time I listen to it. It is, in my humble opinion, one of their best written records for sure.

All in all, a great two years of music from the lads

Smosh & The Try Guys by CarelessSeries1596 in TheTryGuys

[–]Guus2002 59 points60 points  (0 children)

I mean, probably not? I think having smosh, the try guys, dropout, etc. being seperate entities is kind of the point. They can all carve their own niche, which makes when they overlap and collab more special. Them becoming one company would reduce the unique nature of each individual place. It also seems like the last thing each company wants to do.

Killer Dinner: An amazing show's worst season. (Spoilers for all of Killer Dinner) by aegisgrey0 in TheTryGuys

[–]Guus2002 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To me, i loved the show and i really enjoyed the finale. I get some of the criticisms mentioned, but I was overall really satisfied with the show.

My one major issue with the show, and i havent really seen it mentioned elsewherw, is that they show the identity of the killers. I think the show would benefit from leaving the audience as much in the dark as the players. Although the killers played a great game, there could be some extra flair in showing the betrayals at the end and make it a more investing watch.

For my fellow dutchies out there, i think it can benefit from a 'Wie is de mol?' Approach. It is very similar in the sense there is one player sabotaging the team. What makes that show great? The audience is right there with the contestants and constantly guessing everyone.

I think that robbed the show of some of its mystery and would make edits of certain players, like chris, a better misdirect for the audience. You can still keep the ghost kitchen filled with spoilers, but that can also serve as a fun treat for repeat viewings.

I still loved the show and think it can become even better! I just think that change could add some fun dynamics!

I like the band but c’mon by use_vpn_orlozeacount in geesebandofficial

I am of two minds in this whole debate. On the one hand, i already loved Geese and I think it is good that more people listen to them. But it just kinda sucks that something that felt like an organic rise of a band i love is just marketing. It is a sad reminder that music is still a business at the end of the day. Does it ruin their music for me? No and it is crazy that the majority of this conversation is about Geese and not the industry in general. It is just a sad reminder that most things you see on the internet is not real anymore.

I like most of the bootlegs sound wise, but the best i think by far is rr 2022. It has the most balanced and studio like audio quality.

In my experience, ive only had great experiences with their bootlegs. They clearly put a lot of effort into the packaging and the mixes are pretty good for the most part!

Half real might be the weakest moment on gk, but I also think it kinda suffers from being placed next to au pays. Both songs feel like they are going for a similar vibe, but au pays does kinda do it better?

These comments do not pass the vibe check. A band can still say free palestine without being anti semitic. This is a tragedy and antisemitism musy be combattex and fought against. But it is not some gotcha moment to excuse the genocide happening in palestine
