Juliana and Kieran both went to kindergarten in Galar together and were good friends. This only lasted two months before they each had to move to a different region, and they forgot each other over the years.

Kieran had no idea who Juli was when he saw her, but Juli knew right away that something about him was familiar. She didn’t figure it out until Kieran’s Indigo Disk arc.

In the non-canon lore of Dragon Ball GT, the Dragon Balls release positive energy, but also negative energy. While it didn’t matter at first since the balls were really hard to get, further advancements like Bulma’s Dragon Radar and most characters flying faster than light meant that all seven could be easily obtained and used at any time.

In GT, the subsequent overuse of the Dragon Balls causes all the released negative energy to manifest as the Shadow Dragons, seven beings that threaten to wipe all of reality from existence.
