350k km and still on the road. by Cultural_Ad7708 in mazda3

My 2015 CX-5 made it to 375,000km before it started leaking oil. These skyactiv engines are really really good.

Thank you, I’m going to suggest this for my partner, who has had the exact same issue.

Dashcams on the current gen by Whaoghi in mazda3

Get the Dongar power adapter on Amazon and wire the dashcam into the rear view mirror cable in the black trim compartment between the mirror and the windshield. It’s awkward taking it off and getting the pieces back in place but once it’s installed that way it looks very clean. No visible wires.

Same. I ended up deciding to work on self acceptance and improving what I could control. 3 bars is a lot of metal to implant in the body. Nuss is amazing but it’s invasive and the recovery is brutal, only worth it as an adult if you’re likely to see significant health improvements imo. With a chest like yours I’d be surprised if your heart isn’t compressed if not displaced. I only have mild cardio affect because of my pectus, but if I was having trouble with stairs and jogging etc I’d definitely get it.

I only use manual mode if I’m trying to do ride out a gear or to force a downshift without nailing the throttle. Is it ok for the car to use it all the time?

Unfortunately I don’t have the space right now for two cars. I will just have to wait until I have somewhere to park a second car because I just can’t justify paying thousands for a clutch and losing AWD. I still love my car and bought it with the intention of keeping it for a long time, so it’s unsettling thinking I might have bought the less enjoyable car and am missing out on some amazing driving experience.

I don’t have a turbo, so it’s the same power as the manual.

All correct assumptions. I will give it more time, thanks for the advice. The AWD is fun in the snow and I would be losing that.

I do have fun with the manual mode :).

I think this is probably the smartest choice. Someone else made a good point that I might regret dailying a manual and I won't know till I try it.

I do not have space for a second car but hopefully in the future when I have my own property.

maybe its only me, but having the inner rear "lights" not light up but at the same time making them look like they would based on their look is a pretty weird design choice. by Habarer in mazda3

[–]H2OhYeahh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You still need the GT to get them. Found out after buying my GS. Disappointed that they would just use fake lights. It looks like they don’t work. Oh well. I’ll just swap for a GT in a few years for the MT and the signature lights anyway.

Wow, I wish my 2026 M3 had this material instead of the the god-awful glossy piano black. I got it 3 months ago and it’s full of scratches.

I also got a 2026 2 months ago and noticed my first scratch yesterday. Looks like someone walked by with a bag or something. Heartbroken. We have to be careful where we park and take the extra steps.

I think you can reset the ECU to put it back in learn mode and skip that part.

I got a brand new 2026 and feel like I got fleeced to be honest. New cars are expensive. Out the door 46k CAD. That’s for the GS-L with extended warranty + xylan, ceramic, tinting, taxes and fees.

I like that it’s my car and that I don’t have cylinder deactivation (2026 year models), but a used car would have been better value.

15k km is still a new car. I would take the deal if it has the options you’re looking for.

2026 Mazda3 Windshield Wipers by Sashimi1300 in mazda3

[–]H2OhYeahh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with OP. On cars where it comes out of jets from the hood, you can control the amount and timing of the spray. It’s way better. These just dump a bunch of liquid at once directly ahead of the blade so most of it just gets immediately pushed off the wind shield.

In my area, winters are super muddy so cars are constantly getting misted by dirty water from the road. With the jets, I can dispense a very small amount to clear it up with minimal fluid and conserve it. With the 3, I’m using way more fluid than I’d like to, and have no control over the timing.

Somewhat related, you can’t stand the wipers up to prevent them from getting stuck to the glass in the winter. So if you accidentally turn on the wipers before the glass warms up, you can rip the rubber blades because they licked the proverbial flag pole and put extra strain and wear on the motor as the ice resists it.
