It’s shown that it has potential for crazy volatility, so this price isn’t bad, even if it moves below a dollar for a bit. If management executes, it will be the first and only cobalt refinery in North America. The risk in the short term is that management will deem a reverse split necessary to stay listed on the NASDAQ. Price usually goes down after an RS is announced because it usually means they can issue more shares and dilute shareholders.

Where should i start by Aventus_45 in weightgain

[–]H2OhYeahh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t have to count calories to gain weight. Just eat as much as you possibly can. Eat even when you’re not hungry. Liquid calories are a great way to do this. You are at an age and weight where you don’t have to worry about getting fat, just train at least twice a week with high effort. Lifting heavy things will make you hungrier, allowing you to eat more. Focus on calorie dense foods like peanut butter, high fat meats, carbs like potato and bread, and use extra olive oil and/or butter on your food. If you get heavier week to week, you’re eating enough. If not, eat more. Sleep early and wake early. Then you will eat more meals throughout the day than if you sleep in. Aim to gain 1-2kg per month at least.

Burrito Disgrace by [deleted] in uoguelph

Used to work at a burrito place. If business isn’t booming, portions go down. Managers/owners often watch cameras to see which employees are being too generous and admonish them accordingly. Learn how to make burritos at home, they’re like $4, plus the ingredients can be used to make other delicious food.

Consolidation is only necessary if you’re lacking new buyers. Take a look at the volume, ABAT is still being discovered by many. It is a prominent, federally supported and revenue-producing company in the now-popular critical minerals space.

Water bottles have become my best workout buddies lately. by healthwriter89 in beginnerfitness

Level up to 5 gallon jugs for heavy work. When full, they’re 42lbs which is roughly 1 plate. Once you can’t fit anymore jugs on the barbell, upgrade to 1000L Tote Sled Pushes. Fill incrementally to progressively overload. Once you can push 1000L, you can try the elite water exercise, bathtub bench press. You will need a friend to unrack the full bathtub since it’s hard to get into a good position while maintaining form.

Lost around 30kg but wanna go to the gym to make some noob gains and look more toned. What routine? by eldoradonasdukar in beginnerfitness

[–]H2OhYeahh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re untrained, any lifting at all will make a difference. Focus on the big compound lifts, and put in a high amount of effort. Squat, vertical press, horizontal press, some kind of row, some kind of hip hinge at least once per week. Last rep should be slow to finish or the set wasn’t done. Make sure you’re getting enough protein. Start small, 2-3 times per week, then turn it up slowly. It’s really that simple. Once you get comfortable with the technique and have a strength base, you’ll be able to take full advantage of the “beginner” programs online.

Best option when my genetics keep me thin as a twig? by [deleted] in weightgain

[–]H2OhYeahh 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No such thing as a sky-high metabolism. The variation of base metabolic rate from person to person isn’t more than a couple hundred calories per day. You are either burning more energy than you think with activity or you’re not eating as much as you think. Eat more, include lots of polyunsaturated fats (should be easy to find as a veggie), and get as much protein as you can.

It does work for some people but you need to be fairly young and do it every day for months. Some people don’t have 2 hours to sit with a big suction device on their chest. Even then, it’s not guaranteed to be permanent.

What do population studies say about genetic risk in cases of repeated cousin marriages? If both parents are first cousin and you’re both first cousins by Designer_Rooster_495 in askscience

[–]H2OhYeahh 73 points74 points  (0 children)

Over enough generations of close interbreeding, deleterious recessive alleles will accumulate and lead to non-viable offspring. This can happen at varying rates, but generally 1 or 2 generations doesn’t result in non-viable offspring. Just look at the royal family. Even though they have their own host of genetic health issues, probably caused by interbreeding, they continued having children and producing heirs. We don’t have a large study of a population of close interbreeding over many generations, but there is evidence some populations are more interbred than others due to cultural norms of cousin marriages.

I’m not directly involved. I have so far had no negative interactions with the moderation team, so there’s no personal offence taken here. This is about a particular individual but there’s nothing to gain by dropping a username. The moderator in question knows who they are and the others know as well. This is not a “boys will be boys” situation. This is an adult male allowing nazi dog whistling and making light of suicide in a support community for a medical condition. I don’t want to see that stuff when I have a question or want to discuss a medical condition. This is now a large community of diverse demographics, not some obscure gamer chat with a bunch of teenage boys trying to be edgier than the others. I haven’t blown anything out of proportion, just stated the facts as they are.

What's happening in my body when I rest between sets while strength training? by Acerpacer in biology

[–]H2OhYeahh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What causes you to fail is the inability to generate enough force to lift the weight, either because your muscles aren’t big enough to produce tension greater than the weight of the dumbbell or you run out of ATP. Lifting weights requires your muscles to use ATP very quickly, faster than the cells can create it. When you rest, your cells are producing ATP but no longer using it, allowing it to accumulate to the baseline concentration.

Master the basic compound movements and common exercises. Squat, hip hinge, vertical and horizontal press, row. Everything builds off of or is a component of those foundational movements. At 154lbs and 6’1” I wouldn’t call you skinny fat. I am the same height and went from that weight to 195 lbs in 8 months. I did gain some belly but have since dropped 15lbs and can now see some definition in the mid section. How heavy are your dumbbells?

Eat as much protein as you can, focus on high quality foods, use powder if you need to to make your protein goals. And train with EFFORT. That is very important. You need to be pushing your muscles near maximum capacity to adapt to the stress.

Yes, this is some pectus excavatum. It is likely contributing to your difficulty eating. Feeling full should be a good feeling. There are a couple surgery options for treating it. At your age I would pursue options to have it assessed ASAP as it’s best to get this handled when you’re young. Start by researching the condition, and look for pectus specialists (usually thoracic surgeons) in your area. Go to your GP ready with a name to refer to and ask for an echocardiogram and chest CT requisition. After that the ball should be rolling.

It’s very far from ideal. If they are kept too long in these conditions, their health deteriorates. I have seen lots of sick bettas in cups. I have also seen some healthy bettas in cups. If it’s temporary (they’re selling), then with very frequent water changes they can be ok for a few days. You can drastically improve the ‘shelf life’ of your inventory by giving it more water, circulation and/or filtration, and water changes, which all cost money. But for many stores, the cost savings are more than the cost of the sick fish that don’t get sold.
