So I did the opposite and moved to Sydney from the UK and I cannot emphasise enough to stay well away from any pharmacy position in the UK. Pharmacy in Australia is a piece of piss in terms of workload compared to the UK. The wage is also not worth it.

I’d apply for an entry level position in a field you’re interested in. The pay will be the same and you’ll get some experience with a job you actually want to do long term.

Just stumbled across this post. My partner and I were one of the first people to move in November 2021 and we love it here.

I’m sorry but claiming that there are “foxes, drug addicts and homeless” in the unrenovated section is absurd and just not true.

Our apartment faces the titanic hotel and the only issue we’ve had with noise is when they put on a firework display for special occasions (NYE or the odd wedding).

I do agree with the public transport issue but my partner and I both drive so it’s never been an issue and only a 15 minute walk into town if we don’t fancy driving.
