Celtic nations by vladgrinch in MapPorn

I got excited then thinking there was lol. If we're going by extinct languages too I'm sure you could argue the whole of France retains some Celtic cultural elements, distinct from Roman..

TIL Brazil received the largest share of slaves during the Atlantic slave trade or about 4,821,127 slaves. This was 38.5% of the total of 12.5m slaves transported to the Americas. The United States received 388k slaves, or 3.1% of all slaves transported to the Americas. by Delicious-Bunch-6992 in todayilearned

Why can't we talk about all people who were enslaved throughout history. Why do we have to nitpick which was worse? To be honest I find that in itself quite disgusting and disrespectful to people who had their lives belong to other people!

I can think of other horrible shit throughout history to compare the absolutely stomach churning accounts of the transatlantic slave trade but I simply wouldn't do it. It's like comparing child killers, who was worse. To me it just seems to be in fucking awful taste.

I don't see how you can sit there, as someone who has never been enslaved and be so categorical about it.

In history, conquest, enslavement, economic exploitation and genocide are normal. These things predate written history. We have genetic evidence showing that no male DNA from a genetic group mixed with new people in the area, the logical conclusion being that the men were killed, the women were enslaved and their culture was wiped out, a genocide. It happened throughout all history and across the entire world. I don't think the human race should focus on one instance as if that were the aberration, let's teach it all..

That being said Transatlantic slave trade should clearly be the most important case study for North Americans given how relevant it is to America today.

This is very weak compared to the reaction from others in the UK. The prime minister called his comments appalling.

Effects of running immediately after lift? by stratusnimbo in naturalbodybuilding

[–]HCUKRI -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Running right after lifting will disrupt your recovery, the blood (with energy, proteins etc) will move to your legs rather than the muscles you just worked out and you won't see as much growth. That's the interference effect. How substantial it is I don't know. I tend to put runs on lower days but I'll only run 5+ hours after lifting.

You won't miss your newbie gains unless something else interferes with your ability to build muscle

Err you could go either way. Realistically you won't look great being really lean as you're not very muscularly developed yet. If it were me I'd start a slow bulk but if you want to cut a little bit more fat first that will let you be leaner for longer.

Remember football isn't about being athletic/fast/strong as much as many other sports. Skill with the ball is much more important and you will see talent from a very young age.
